Just take a simple drone note and then add Koshiba and you’ve got an evolving groove to play with straight away! If you cant add more steps, then how about more patterns? (groups of 16 steps) and the ability to chain patterns? Or even midi control over pattern changes to create long switchable patterns in your DAW. Or failing all of that, give us midi control over preset changing so that we can create longer patterns via automation. It’s well beyond the other sequenced gate offerings on iOS. The per-step filter, resonance, and drive settings make all of the difference. Very inspiring to use and can make more space in a mix as well. I use this on pads a lot, or any time I want to create some space and groove. The presets are also very usable. It’s for way more than just trance, very inspiring, can create forward movement and bounce. It even has swing! It's a sequential selector, forcing me to audibly create undesirable audio artifacts by forcing the user to 'step though' undesirable rates till you hit the desired rate. The rate control would be better if they were directly selectable. ### 5/5 — Superb *2020-10-30* I’ve got more AUV units than I need but this one is a gem, it’s a missing link. Play poly pads and syncopate to your hearts content. It’s so simple and yet so complex when you want it to be. I’ve only been on it for 5mins and I’m hooked.
