Professional monitoring for your photovoltaic system. Important: The KOSTAL Solar App now obtains data from the new KOSTAL Solar portal. Data and information from the PIKO Solar Portal are no longer displayed in the app. To enable you to use the KOSTAL Solar App with your existing solar portal account, KOSTAL will send you a welcome e-mail in the the next few days, asking you to re-enter your password. If you do not want to wait for the welcome e-mail, you can use the "Reset password" function on the KOSTAL Solar Portal website for your existing account. KOSTAL Solar App The free KOSTAL Solar App offers professional monitoring of your photovoltaic system. You can conveniently and easily retrieve all functions from your smartphone or tablet at any time. To set up and use the app, you need access to the KOSTAL solar portal and an inverter installed there. For the login of the app the same access data as for the solar portal are needed. General information With the KOSTAL Solar App, you can now conveniently monitor your solar systems while you are on the move or from your couch, and display relevant system data. You have the opportunity to access the consumption and generation data over different periods such as day, week, month and year, as well as access to the historical data of your plant. With this app, you are always up to date. Download the free KOSTAL Solar App now and take advantage of the new and enhanced features. Start page On the start page, the current home consumption is shown graphically as well as percentage. You can immediately see from the diagram how your own home consumption is covered by PV, a battery or the public grid. A new feature shows you a 3-day forecast for generation and home consumption. With a simple swipe action with your finger to "right" or "left" on the individual tiles, you can view more areas. By clicking on the drop-down arrows, you can display extended dates or periods. Last data Under the "Last Data" the last live values of the last transfer to your installation are displayed to the KOSTAL Solar Portal. The new diagram shows the home consumption [W], the feed in [W], the generation [W], as well as values relating to a battery. If you do not have a own battery yet, you can use the KOSTAL Solar App to activate a virtual battery and see the resulting savings. Try it for yourself and see what the Virtual Battery calculates. History Under "History" you can graphically display the historical data of your plant. Here you can switch between the daily, monthly, annual and total values of domestic consumption and production. You can switch these views of house consumption and generation again with a "swipe action". The highlight of the KOSTAL Solar App is the virtual battery, in which you can select a desired capacity and calculate an individual forecast. In the lower area you will see an overview of your respective values (home consumption / production). The data from the last available periods are compared in weekly, monthly or annual sections. Worked good for a while then won’t open. Tried restarting system per KOSTAL instructions with no success. Have now been six months wit ability to monitor system remotely. Tried to download app on Mac with no success. Very dissatisfied. ### 4/5 — Macht, was sie machen soll *2025-08-04, version 1.2.34* Leider zeigt die App oft erst nach dem zweiten Starten die Daten (deshalb einen Stern Abzug), aber sonst funktioniert sie einwandfrei. ### 1/5 — Wie das Unternehmen, so die App?! *2025-07-03, version 1.2.34* Nicht nur der Support per Telefon und/oder per E-Mail lässt zu wünschen übrig. Auch die App ist immer wieder, oder immer noch fehlerbehaftet. Trotz widersprüchlicher Informationen, die uns die App und der Kostal-Kundendienst lieferten, haben wir uns letztlich für die Nachrüstung eines PV-Speichers entschieden. Nun muss ich feststellen, dass die Entladung des Speichers in der falschen Farbe, bzw. überhaupt nicht dargestellt wird, in Werten dargestellt beträgt sie Null (beides iPad), aber auf dem iPhone scheint alles zu passen (farbliche Darstellung und nummerische Werte). Auf den ersten Blick scheint dies aber nur. Vergleicht man die Werte aus der App mit den direkt aus der Anlage abgelesenen Werten und berücksichtigt die zeitliche Verschiebung bei der Darstellung in der App incl. einer vermuteten Mittelwertbildung, bestehen noch immer Diskrepanzen zwischen den Portalwerten und den über das Webinterface direkt ausgelesenen Werten. Zieht man dann noch die Werte, die das Portal über den Webbrowser liefert hinzu, steht man ganz auf dem Schlauch. Frei nach „Was bin ich?“ - „Welches Schweinderl hätten‘s denn gern?“ Ganz toll, hier kann man sich aussuchen, was einem am besten passt! Andere Anbieter können das viel besser und vor allem nachhaltig fehlerfreier! ### 4/5 — Schon gut aber und noch Potenzial *2025-05-14, version 1.2.34* Aus meiner Sicht gar nicht schlecht umgesetzt. Für alle Technik-Nerds fehlen leider noch ein paar Daten wie Tageshöchstwerte oder Auswertung nach String (Diagnoserelevant). Was leider richtig nervt ist das es am iPad keinen Querbild-Modus gibt. Nutze ein altes iPad zur Überwachung und muss immer Safari und die IP nutzen statt die App. Das ist mit Login und Co. Echt nervig, weil das iPad eben wegen Stromanschluss für Quermodus konzipiert ist. Ansonsten gern noch mehr Daten reinpacken und ein konfigurierbares Dashboard draus machen. ### 4/5 — An sich gute app *2024-09-10, version 1.1.80* Aber es wäre sehr hilfreich wenn man die App selber aktualisieren könnte damit man genau sieht wie viel gerade erzeugt wird weil sich die App erst in 15-30 Minuten selber aktualisiert. ### 2/5 — Zu viele Fehler *2024-09-02, version 1.1.80* Die App dürfte gern zuverlässiger sein. Heute ist wieder ein Tag (einer von vielen) an dem ich mich im Portal nicht anmelden kann. (Dort muss man immer seine kompletten Nutzerdaten neu eingeben!) Oft werden gar keine aktuellen Daten gezeigt und das, obwohl Anfang des Jahres über viele Wochen die Server umgestellt wurden. Man meldet sich nicht in der App direkt an sondern wird weitergeleitet. Auch die App ansich zeigt nicht alle Statistiken die man sich wünscht, an der Oberfläche hat es keine Weiterentwicklung in den letzten Jahren gegeben. Ich würde mir bspw. wünschen, dass ich die Größe des Batteriespeichers ablesen könnte, um Defekte zu erkennen. Ich persönlich finde die automatische Skalenanpassung in den Diagrammdarstellungen unpraktisch. Sie sollte immer gleich bleiben, um auf den ersten Blick vergleichbar zu sein. Da ich täglich in die App schaue und danach mein Verhalten bzgl. Nutzung von stromintensiven Geräten orientieren möchte sind die o.g. Punkte für mich ein großes Manko. Für jemanden der nur eine Jahresstatistik braucht ist die App ok. Ich würde mir eine bessere Zuverlässigkeit, mehr Funktionen und das Merken von Nutzerdaten wünschen. ### 5/5 — Passt. *2024-08-26, version 1.1.80* Wir nutzen die App inzwischen auf iPhone, iPad und sogar problemlos auf dem MacBook. Help!! ### 1/5 — Software unterirdisch *2024-05-05, version 1.1.52* Ich habe zwei Plenticore Wechselrichter, die an sich sehr gut funktionieren. Die App ist jedoch seit langer Zeit eine Katastrophe und Kostal bekommt sie nicht stabilisiert. Nach einigen Tagen muss immer wieder neu eingeloggt werden, extrem nervig. Manchmal wie z.B. heute geht es überhaupt nicht. Meine Rohdaten sind in der App alle korrekt. Die Charts sind jedoch teilweise falsch, weil der Eigenverbrauch in zahlreichen Monaten nicht in die Charts geschrieben wird. Der Support reagiert seit ca. 6 Monaten überhaupt nicht auf meine Anfragen. Die Batteriesteuerung hat auch immer wieder mal Bugs, was dann zu einer Zwangsabschaltung der Batterie führt. Mittlerweile habe ich mir über Modbus eine eigene Visualisierung programmiert, die klar zeigt, dass in der Kostal Steuerungs-Software ein Fehler ist. Dieser wurde zwar Ende letzten Jahres größenteils behoben, aber ganz behoben ist er nicht.
