## What is Kotatsu for Jellyfin?

Kotatsu is a native Jellyfin client for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Browse and play the movies and shows on your Jellyfin server, with an interface designed for each screen.

■ Features

- Home screen with Continue Watching, Next Up, recently added movies and shows, and favorites
- Browse movies, series and episodes with artwork, descriptions and codec information
- Switch between Jellyfin profiles
- Sign in within the iPhone and iPad app using your Jellyfin username and password
- Quick Connect sign-in is also available
- SyncPlay: create or join a group to watch together
- My Jellyfin dashboard with server, device and codec compatibility information
- Supports the server's parental rating restrictions
- Available in English and Japanese

■ Playback

Kotatsu selects playback options based on your device's capabilities. On Apple TV HD, content that needs conversion can be transcoded to H.264 by your Jellyfin server. Hardware acceleration depends on your server's hardware and configuration; playback quality and performance also depend on your network.

■ Requirements

- iPhone or iPad with iOS / iPadOS 26.0 or later, or Apple TV HD or later with tvOS 26.0 or later
- Jellyfin Server 10.9 or later
- A Jellyfin server and an account with access to its media

Kotatsu does not provide movies, shows or a media subscription. It is developed independently of the Jellyfin project. Learn more about Jellyfin at https://jellyfin.org
