## What is Koto?

One new word every day. A few tries. The same word for everyone.

Koto is a word game built for two minutes a day. Type a word, read the colours, and work out the hidden word before you run out of tries.

HOW TO PLAY

Green: the letter is there, in that exact spot.
Yellow: the letter is in the word, somewhere else.
Grey: that letter isn't in the word.

You learn it in one try. It takes weeks to get good. The longer the word, the more tries: five to eight.

DAILY CHALLENGE
One word a day, identical for every player. The word length changes with the date, so the calendar isn't 365 identical puzzles. Play day after day and watch your streak grow.

CHALLENGE CALENDAR
Missed a day? It's still there. Every past date is its own puzzle, and how fast you solve it earns a gold, silver or bronze trophy. Replay it to beat your own time.

CHALLENGE A FRIEND
Send a friend the word you just played and see who solves it in fewer tries.

TOPICS, IN PARALLEL
Beyond the word everyone shares, follow topics with a daily puzzle of their own — cinema, sport, history, the human body — each with its own clues and its own voice.

CLASSIC MODE
Unlimited games whenever you want more. You pick the difficulty, with words from four to ten letters, and the topic.

HINTS WHEN YOU'RE STUCK
Earn coins by playing and spend them on a hint when a word won't budge. The clues never hand you the definition — they make you think. A daily bonus tops you up for free.
