The calm way to never miss a dose — or run out.

Kounts Dose is a private, beautifully simple medication tracker. Add your medicines in under two minutes, get gentle reminders at the right times, log a dose with one tap, and see exactly how many days of supply you have left — with a heads-up before you run out.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-30

A widget button that finally shows its work, and a Today screen that stops keeping score.

• THE WIDGET'S TAKE BUTTON NOW SHOWS THAT IT WORKED. Tapping it always did log the dose. What it didn't do was change on screen — so it looked like nothing had happened, and tapping again looked exactly the same. Fixed here, and in the same way for the Take button on a reminder, the Live Activity, the Control Centre button and "Hey Siri, log my dose".
• TODAY COUNTS ANSWERS, NOT JUST TABLETS SWALLOWED. "3 of 7 taken" reads like a score you're losing on a day when you deliberately skipped four of them. A skip is an answer. Today now says how much of the day you've dealt with, with the detail underneath: 1 taken · 1 skipped · 2 still to take.
• YOU CAN SEE WHICH DOSE IS ACTUALLY DUE. A dose due right now and one due at bedtime used to look identical on the list. The one Dose is waiting on says so.
• THE ADD BUTTON SAYS ADD. A blue circle with a + in it was the most guessed-at control on the screen.
• EASIER TO READ. Small text was too faint against the paper background: the section headings, the Taken and Skipped chips and the running-low warning are all darkened to a contrast that holds up at arm's length. Increase Contrast in iOS Settings now changes the whole app, and at large text sizes the medicine's colour tile steps aside so the name gets the full width.
• BETTER WITH VOICEOVER. Every Log button names its medicine instead of four buttons all announcing "Log", and every row says its time and whether it's due now.

Skipped doses used to show "status.skipped" in English instead of the word itself. That's fixed, along with twenty-two other places where Dose fell back to English in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-29

Your prescriptions, a history you can put right, Kounts Dose on your wrist, and the awkward halves of everything else.

• KEEP THE PRESCRIPTION, NOT JUST THE NAME ON IT. Photograph the slip and it stays: who prescribed it, when, how long it's good for, and the medicines it covers. The photo never leaves your iPhone. Not to us, not into your export, not even into your own iCloud.
• FIX A DOSE YOU FORGOT TO TICK. A missed dose used to be the last word on it. Now every row in your history opens: say you took it, and when, or that you skipped it. Free, and it will stay free.
• KOUNTS DOSE ON APPLE WATCH. Today's doses on your wrist. It opens on the one you're behind on, with a Take button you can hit without looking.
• HALF A TABLET. A QUARTER, TOO. "Half at night" is what the prescription says, so it's what Dose says now: ¼, ½, 1½, in the schedule, on the reminder, and in what comes out of the box.
• EIGHTEEN FORMS. Patches, creams, gels, sprays, suppositories and the rest, the same list Apple Health offers. Drops count down from the millilitres printed on the bottle, so there's no sum for you to do.
• ONE BOX, TWO PEOPLE. Share a pack and a single count serves both of you. No more halving the number by hand every time you refill.
• NOTE HOW IT WENT. Tap a dose to jot down a side effect, or anything worth raising at your next appointment. It goes into your export with everything else.
• TAKE THE WHOLE EIGHT O'CLOCK AT ONCE. One tap for a time of day that has several medicines in it.

Dose also speaks your language now in the places it used to slip back into English, and if your iPhone can't read a photo it says so plainly instead of quietly doing nothing.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-28

Scanning a pack is a great deal more reliable — and every photo you take now happens inside Kounts Dose.

• THE SCAN NO LONGER GIVES UP AFTER THE BARCODE. Reading the code and photographing the label are one uninterrupted camera now, so turning the box around and tapping Capture label simply works.
• IT SAYS WHAT THE NEXT TAP DOES. Once a code lands, Kounts Dose asks you to turn the pack until the front label, the name and the strength are sharp — then takes exactly the picture it needs.
• SCAN A PRESCRIPTION, NOT ONLY A BOX. A prescription for a single medicine can fill in the name, strength, form, quantity, who prescribed it and when — where those are clearly printed.
• IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT ISN'T SURE. A detail is filled in only when the text on the pack backs it up; anything less offers you another photo, your library, or typing it in. Nothing is guessed.
• LESS WAITING AFTER THE SHUTTER, and the progress now says which part it's on.
• "TAKE PHOTO" OPENS OUR OWN CAMERA everywhere — the box, the pill and a person's photo. One lens, one shutter, a torch you control, and none of the zoom, mode or flash the Camera app was last left on. A person's photo opens front-facing.

All of it happens on your iPhone. Photos are never uploaded — not even to your own iCloud.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-26

Everyone you look after, in one app — and a way to tell your pills apart.

• PEOPLE — keep a separate list of medicines for a parent, a child, a partner. Switch between one person and Everyone, give each of them a colour or a photo, and every reminder says whose dose it is. Looking at one person never silences another's.
• PHOTOGRAPH THE PILL, NOT JUST THE BOX — a box at thumbnail size is a blur of colour; a tablet isn't. Add a photo of the pill itself and use it as the medicine's icon, then open Identify to see them all side by side — for the moment you're holding a weekly organiser and none of the boxes are nearby.
• WHO PRESCRIBED IT, AND WHEN — optional, tucked away until you fill it in, and included in the history export you hand over at the next appointment.
• STEP-DOWN TAPERS — enter the plan you were given, like "4 tablets for 5 days, then 3, then 2", and Kounts Dose works out the reminders, the finish date and the supply you'll need.
• ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN — a live card as each dose comes due, with a Take button. Free for everyone.
• SIRI, SHORTCUTS AND THE ACTION BUTTON — say "Log my dose in Kounts Dose" and it's logged, in every language the app speaks, with a Control Centre control too.
• SCAN A PACK — photograph a box and have the name, strength and form filled in for you, entirely on your iPhone.
• WIDGETS ARE NOW FREE — Next dose and Today show what's coming, for everyone.
• 14 DAYS OF DOSE PLUS on every new install. When it ends nothing is deleted: every medicine, schedule and logged dose stays exactly where it is.
