This app fails to play a continuous stream. Every minute or two, a 1-second portion of the audio repeats, then the audio stops for about a second before resuming. Very disappointing, as I am unable to get an uninterrupted stream via the internet as well.

After discovering this grassroots, real news that matters station, I can’t live without it. I listen to less podcasts as a result because I never want to stop listening in the middle of a report. I’ve learned about so many helpful, informative books and organizations to join and actually contribute to cultivating a cohesive, thriving community and make change for all for good. 
I am much better informed and educated on the current reality of global and local politics. 
Thank you with all my heart.

KPFA is an essential news and culture radio station. Beyond that, it’s a Bay Area (and international) institution whose existence is a bulwark against corporate media and all of the problems and issues it raises. 
KPFA’s launch of this app is something to be celebrated — and downloaded!

I propose 9:41 (AM and PM) as appropriate times to express our gratitude and support for those who keep the station on the air and online. This new app promises to reinforce our independence from Mass Media and our inspiration through Mutual Aid. Donate, Comment, Share, Disrupt, wherever possible, by any means we can discover. 9:41 can be our tag. I plan to make a QR code sticker that links to the app. Look for it on a telephone pole/mail box/ATM near you soon.
