## What is Krestfell?

There was one folk under one Sleeping King, and above his throne hung a twelve-pointed star. The star broke and the king fell into his long sleep, and twelve kindreds carried the twelve points into the dark. Now they have come back to settle the land — and whoever gathers more than half the star will unite the kingdom.

Krestfell is a turn-based 4X strategy game inspired by Catan, Chess, and Civilization: found cities, work the land, raise armies, and outplay up to nine rival kingdoms on a procedurally generated map. One game fits in an evening. Every one plays out differently.

TACTICAL COMBAT
No hit points, no damage rolls, no luck. Like chess, an attack kills if the attacker's strength exceeds the defender's. Every fight is decided before it starts, and reading the board is everything. Too strong to kill alone? Stage several units against one defender and strike as one. Units that make three kills become veterans, and veterans change the math.

WORK THE LAND
Each turn gives you a handful of action points. Spend them tending tiles — every tended tile grows your city and reveals what the land was hiding: grain or coal, iron or wild horses, or a lost point of the star itself. Match tended tiles into shapes to craft structures — farms, mines, granaries — the only income your kingdom will ever have.

TWELVE KINDREDS
Play any of twelve kindreds of the Krestfallen — storm-kin and cairn-watchers, veiled keepers and hush-tongued bargainers — each with its own ground, its own temper, and an old grace or grievance with every other house at the table.

HIGH DIPLOMACY
Swear pacts of mutual protection. Call the table to unite against a leader grown too dreadful. Hold a league together — or break your oath, take the knife to an ally, and live with what every kingdom now knows about you.

HONEST BY DESIGN
No ads. No account. No tracking. Just the game.

The kingdom was whole once. Make it whole again.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.209 — 2026-08-30

• Fighting now costs resources, not action points — a rich realm is a dangerous one, and every attack has a price you can see before you commit.
• Realm labels show each realm's stockpile.
• Moving is free. Action points go only to building: tending, structures, cities, recruits.
• Rivals fight smarter: they only stage combos they can pay for, bring the right units to a wall, and abandon sieges they can't win.
• Larger world option: ten realms on a board built to hold them.
• Lock the camera to skip the AI's off-screen turns; hide labels for a clean map.
• Event cards deal in as a stack; tap to read through.
• Pact flags carry the founder's mark.
• Smoother scrolling and animations on iPhone.
