The taxi came within a minute, and provided a very smooth ride to my place. The total fare was 16000 won which was less than what I was quoted, 21000 won. Contacted support centre who was unhelpful the first time and they then escalated to the driver himself the second time who gave a bunch of reasons for charging me more i.e taking a different route (without my knowledge or consent). App then said “we don’t have authority to adjust the fee without driver’s approval or verification so we cannot refund [price difference]”. Can’t imagine any scamming driver would approve a refund… ### 1/5 — No protection for foreigners - do not recommend *2026-01-17, version 1.7.8* The app works by having the taxi drivers input the metered fare at the end of the trip but there is nothing to verify it so the drivers will charge double as soon as you leave the taxi and you’ll get stuck with the charge on the app. It’s even worse that there is absolutely no way to dispute any charges on the app. It’s a perfect app for taxi drivers to rip off unsuspecting foreigners. Use Uber instead which will hail a taxi with your destination the same way and you can pay in person to make sure you are paying the correct metered amount. ### 1/5 — 配車後に位置情報が変わる不具合とドライバー対応の問題/Pickup Location Issues and Inconsistent Driver Behavior *2026-01-08* 配車設定を完了した後に、 自分が指定したピックアップ位置が勝手に変わってしまう不具合 がありました。 この問題は、グアム滞在中に K.ride のアプリを利用していて 2回発生しました。 同じ期間に Stroll も何度か利用しましたが、Stroll ではこのような問題は一度もありませんでした。 1回目は、ドライバーが状況を理解してくれて、 私が最初に指定した正しい場所まで迎えに来てくれたため、 特に大きな問題はなく利用できました。 しかし 2回目はまったく違いました。 ドライバーは女性で、 こちらが「ピックアップ場所が間違っているのでキャンセルします」と伝えたにもかかわらず、 「もういいから乗れ」と高圧的に言われました。 追加で支払う必要があるのであれば、 アプリを通じて支払ってもよい と伝えましたが、 その説明にも一切耳を傾けず、 最初からこちらのせいだと決めつける態度でした。 最終的には アプリを通さずに現金での支払いを要求され、 クレジットカードしかないと伝えると、 威圧的な態度のまま、何かをぶつぶつ言いながら立ち去りました。 同じ女性として、その対応はとても悲しく感じました。 口コミでは観光客向けの便利なアプリのように紹介されていますが、 実際に使ってみると、必ずしも観光客に親切なサービスとは感じられませんでした。 サービス自体が致命的に悪いとは言いませんが、 ドライバーによって対応の差が非常に大きく、 特に英語があまり話せない日本人利用者にとっては ストレスを感じやすいサービスだと思います。 After completing a ride request, the pickup location I selected sometimes changed automatically. This issue occurred twice while I was using the K.ride app during my stay in Guam. During the same period, I also used Stroll several times and did not experience any similar issues with Stroll. The first time, the driver was understanding and came to the correct pickup location that I originally selected, so the ride went smoothly. The second time, however, was very different. The driver was a woman, and when I told her that the pickup location was incorrect and that I would cancel the ride, she responded in a rude and dismissive way, telling us to “just get in.” I also clearly explained that if there was an additional charge, I was willing to pay through the app, but she refused to listen and kept blaming us for the situation. In the end, she demanded payment in cash instead of through the app. When I explained that I only had a credit card, she walked away while muttering something, maintaining an intimidating attitude. As a fellow woman, I found this experience particularly disappointing. Although the app is often described in reviews as being tourist-friendly, my experience did not fully reflect that impression. The service itself is not terrible, but the overall experience depends heavily on the driver. For users who are not confident speaking English, this service can be stressful and unpleasant. ### 1/5 — 인천공항 K-ride(케이라이드) 이용 시 주의하세요. *2026-01-02* K-ride를 통해 예약했으나 최악의 경험을 했습니다. 인천공항 도착 직후, 예약된 탑승 시각에 늦을 것으로 예상되어 탑승 시각 전에 앱 메시지로 미리 지연 연락을 취했습니다. 하지만 기사님은 제가 연락 없이 나타나지 않았다며 일방적으로 예약을 취소했고, 위약금까지 자동으로 부과되었습니다. 다른 서비스에 비해 요금도 비싼데 서비스는 최악입니다. 부당하게 부과된 위약금 환불을 요구합니다. ### 2/5 — Can’t get the most basic thing right *2025-12-29, version 1.7.7* Every time I set destination from map, it makes it the starting point ### 1/5 — Worst taxi app ever - borderline scam! *2025-12-24, version 1.7.6* I scheduled a ride from 10 pm the night before my ride. The app says that the driver got assigned, which was great. However, during the day, I had to wait outside, in the winter for 1 hour, just to wait for the driver. I messaged him several times and he hasn’t responded. I ended up paying KRW 30,000 just to cancel the ride (my ride was 68,000). I had to contact customer support to get all my money back. This is honestly a huge pain to deal with, and I’m 1 and half hours late. Driver was then abusive and threatening shouting in Korean and refusing to read Korean instructions. He threw our bags out then we were able to force him to go to the right destination which he pretended not to know and again literally threw bags on the ground - he drove off at high speed stealing one bag !! The app allows you to put in your pick up and destination in your home language, or pins on a map. An estimated price for your journey is given and all have been fairly accurate for the 20+ times I’ve used them. An initial payment is taken to check your payment method, then this is refunded. Full payment is taken automatically once the ride is finished.
