Very convincing! They are talented. However, I hate that I feel like I'm taking a chance, in other words: when you choose a look it won't let you zoom in or study it, just for a min at least, to make sure that's what you really want! You also must pay for every photo, which makes sense for quality you get. But I didn't know that until after I loaded it! They do give you a discount the first time and offer coupon codes, which is nice. Wish they had codes for Christmas though. ### 3/5 — Love the pictures BUT not the constant price increase *2020-01-18, version 7.2.2* I’ve been using this app for 2 years and have always been happy with the outcome. When I just started using Krome they were about 4 dollars a picture for a basic edit. Now the most basic edit is 9.99 (and I’m a premium member!). They have more than doubled in fees and even with the one “retouch” if you are not happy with something, the price is a lot higher than other editors. Sadly, I will be looking for another company that is more reasonable with their fees. ### 2/5 — Be aware *2020-01-09, version 7.2.2* I have been using this app since it came out where yes the prices have totally changed and it’s a good app just like the other review says the consistency of the pricing is not at all pleasing and I can’t even get I to mine to do a background change on my photo it won’t let me renew my membership and I’ve tried the uninstall and reinstall but I’m really disappointed I really liked this app if there’s any other out there like it can anyone refer me to any? And for this app just be careful they change it up on what you can n can’t do n definitely the pricing. Was a loyal customer but now can’t get into my account membership....... ### 4/5 — I am super pleased! Creativity at its best! *2019-12-29, version 7.2.2* As an artist and photographer who often has had to do this work myself, I am elated to find this app. What a time saver, especially when you don’t have the time to create something fast for a person to see what can be done with a photo that has an awful background or a background that does not compliment the actual photograph. I wanted them to capture how we could honor their service to our country. They did this perfectly. I am overwhelmed with this beautiful picture they helped me by capturing respect. 💕 ### 3/5 — Pricing consistency. *2019-10-29, version 7.2.0* The reason for three stars is because I love the app but the prices aren’t consistent. When I updated the app after about 12 months of not updating it and using an old version where not all the backgrounds would load , the prices all changed. Everything used to be $5.99 per photo, no matter what , but once I updated the app , everything is now $9.99. If I had known I never would have updated , even with the app crashing and never loading backgrounds 50% of the time. I’ve had some really really good picture edits !!! Some have been better than others but overall have been very pleased with the service , but where is the consistency ? ### 5/5 — Free are-edit *2019-09-12, version 7.1.7* This app will make sure you are completely satisfied with your photos. They will not stop until you’re very happy. I love this app also... because I’m not a professional photographer and this helps me out a lot. But I’m definitely a photographer in my own way. I recommend this app to all the moms I know. It’s difficult to catch a good shot in a studio with wriggly, fussy, young kids afraid of strangers. Now you can take that great shot you got with your phone and make it even more beautiful. I have so many pictures from this app framed and hung on the wall. ### 5/5 — Awesome Ideas and Photo’s *2019-04-03, version 7.0.6* I take dozen’s of pictures in a day and don’t always have the best background, sometimes your picture is almost perfect but you have 1 person or items that just doesn’t look right. Being able to merge pictures is a huge help to get a complete fixture. My niece was married a few weeks ago and she had always hoped to have my dad dance with her at her wedding. Unfortunately my dad passed away before her big day. My mom stood in for him and the dance was eloquent and touched everyone in the room with a deep sense of love for the Patriarch who had left us longing for his smile one more time. Krome was able to take a pic of my dad and superimpose him behind the pic of my mother and niece after their special dance. The translucent effect of my dad appears to be smiling at the two beautiful women that were thinking of him at that very moment. ❤️👍🏼❤️. ### 5/5 — Amazing!!! *2018-11-28, version 5.6.1* I just sent in a pic and chose a nice background to go with it just playing around to see what they could do with it and when I got the finished product it looked like the real deal. For their 60th Anniversary Party my mom jokingly said, can you edit out the hanging electric cords and my dad requested drywall. :) Who knew there was an ap out there that could? The editor changed the background and at my request kept the candles and ferns so it still resembles their original picture. Love love love it!!! Thanks so much Krome Studio!! ### 5/5 — Definitely Impressed! *2018-10-31, version 5.5.1* I'll start by saying, this app is most definitely worth a try for those of you who are here reading the reviews trying to decide whether to download or not, DO IT! You will surely be glad you did! I honestly did not really even expect my edited picture to turn out as good as it did! My original photo was a screenshot of me that my girlfriend took during a video call on snapchat, and then put a big caption right across the picture, right under my face, along with the smaller view of her in the upper right corner. Well, upon downloading Krome Studio & signing up, you're given your first photo request for free, so I figured I would kinda test them with a little bit of a challenging request, just out of curiosity to see how well it would come back, so I used the screenshot and requested that the caption be removed as well as the smaller view of her camera in the upper corner. What I got back was basically flawless & you would never have been able to tell that it was edited at all!! I was definitely impressed and will continue to use this app! As far as the Usability of the app and its design in general goes, it is very easy to understand and use, the layout is clean and simple and a pleasure to use overall! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not impressed *2018-12-06, version 5.6.1* so far I’m not impressed with this app at all. Upon trying to decide if I wanted to spend the $1 on this app or not I read a lot of reviews and most said they received their finished picture if not at least got an email from someone about their photo within a few hours. That’s what sold me the most was that you had results within a few hours. Well not me! I sent in a photo request nearly 36 hours ago and haven’t receive anything. When I click on the chat icon to try and figure out the problem it says no ones available to chat and that I could just leave a message. If and when I finally receive my picture it has to be outstanding or I’m not using the app again and will just take my loss and delete it. ### 1/5 — Misleading *2018-12-05, version 5.6.1* This app doesn’t allow you to edit your own pictures. You pick the back ground and upload your picture and someone else edits the photo and then charges you for it. The fact that you pay for the app you’d expect to be able to edit your own photos but instead you get charged more for that service. The app should be free if I am going to have to pay for someone to edit my photo anyway. Don’t waste your money you can find other apps that allow you to edit your own photos without an extra charge. ### 1/5 — Very misleading app *2018-09-19, version 5.3* Very misleading app, doesn’t tell you that you have to pay for every photo, I thought you pay $.99 for the app and you can add backgrounds to any photo all you and save them to your camera roll like the millions of apps out, if that was the case why you don’t make the app free then if you have to pay, because you figure if someone doesn’t continue with the app, atleast you made $.99 on them right, go out of business, should not be stealing people money like that charging for a app that people have to pay money anyways to use! Very disappointed I need my $.99 back I don’t want to continue! **Developer response:** We are sorry if you feel mislead. The first few times I received amazing results . This was over a year ago . Recently, the quality has not only gone down, but they don’t listen to your requests. If they make a mistake, they do not make it a priority to fix yet take over 48 hours to fix . They make mistake after mistake all the while charging top dollar . Very very disappointed to say the least !! And yes this is all in my opinion! ### 1/5 — Misleading *2018-07-17, version 5.1* After watching preview that showed up via Facebook I thought the app looked like fun. I pressed the get it button and couldn’t wait to start playing with pictures! I should have read the description rather than relying on the video representation because this was not at all what I expected. Had I known I was paying for an app that is simply an avenue to submit a photo and pay again for a person to edit your photos I wouldn’t have purchased it. Pretty disappointed. When they work on your photos AFTER you pay for it.. they deliver it looking nothing like their example and they don’t include the whole picture you pay for. I’m about to call BBB and file report ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2018-03-25, version 4.8* Not only do you have to pay for this app you have to pay for each picture, $7 or $3. The preview for the design feature is inaccurate and the enhance feature doesn’t even have a preview. AND you really need to take pictures specifically for the background you want. It’s not like you can scroll through your pics and then find a background to match. It takes way too much time if you can even find one to match the background. This app is a rip off! ### 1/5 — Very Poor work !!! *2018-02-22, version 4.7* I used twice and I was happy with the result then I asked for a simple enhance and my original was much better they just adjust the color and size and not what I asked for . And their service has decrease a lot very cheaply I asked for a re edit and they are charging and extra fee even when the first order suppose to have warranty. It saves all my photos from just being deleted because of one flaw. If a face a blurry, or the shadow is too dark in my photos, the Krome editors do their magic and save my photo for me that I can always have as a memory. Thank you! And this app is also a life saver when it comes to Christmas photos. I had 2 separate pictures...one with my grandma and her sister and the other picture had their 3rd sister. I needed to add the third sister to the photo with the other 2 sisters to “look” like they took the picture together. Well, these designers came through with their brilliance and came up with a fantastic picture of the 3 sisters even though they weren’t all in the same picture. I’m truly amazed and impressed. We don’t ever make the time to take family Christmas pictures with a photographer so I usually end up using pictures that we took at thanksgiving and adding a Christmas background to them. The editors have always done a great job.
