### 1/5 — Poor App

*2025-06-11*

Poor navigation, sightings are 24 hours, so useless.

**Developer response:** Hi Chops, we are sorry you struggled to use these features and you are welcome to email us at hello@kruger.guide to provide any useful feedback you have. Please keep in mind that a single developer is maintaining all of this as a passion project, so your input may take a while to make it into a new version.
To help other users understand these features better: Community sightings cannot be viewed without a working internet connection, which makes the feature most useful in the South of the park where there is better cell service. With a working internet connection, sightings are delayed by at most 15 minutes and are real-time for big five species. Rhino sightings are never shared with the community. If you are travelling through the central or Northern regions of the park, please note that it is unlikely that you will receive sighting updates when you leave camp, and some camps may not have any cell service. There is unfortunately nothing we can do about this.
Navigation: The app does not utilise Google or Apple maps for navigation. The road network in the park causes these platforms to use roads that are not accessible to the public. To ensure the safety of users, we manually mapped over 1,300 routes to follow between camps, gates and picnic sites. These are clearly indicated on the map, have travel time estimates and are easy to follow. Your last route-lookup will be immediately visible when you access this feature again. In addition to the 1,300 point-to-point routes, we created 70+ pre-mapped self-drive routes that have turn-by-turn instructions.

### 1/5 — Deceptive

*2024-09-08*

The app does not show a cost, implying it is free or there is a free version.. nope as soon as you download it, it wants to charge $9.99 so in my opinion no matter how good the app is, it gets an F from me.

**Developer response:** This review is no longer valid as the as the app includes a free tier for everyone from 11 March 2025.
