Not sure why this app exists if it has zero functionality? I would give it zero stars if I could. ### 1/5 — notify me when my child arrives please *2024-08-24* The KT Connect app is supposed to keep parents updated on their child’s daycare experience, but it completely misses the mark on one of the most important features: check-in and check-out notifications. Instead of receiving an alert when my child is dropped off or picked up, I have to log in and navigate through several screens just to find that information. This makes the app frustrating and inconvenient to use, especially when quick updates should be a given. Until this feature is fixed, I can’t recommend it. It is not user friendly, it does not send notifications even when button is on to allow notifications. (Setting notifications on phone are set to on). The app is difficult to follow and navigate. Overall I would not recommend, my daycare just switched to it and it was the biggest mistake! Why would our daycare decide on this app, I have no idea. ### 1/5 — Disappointing Compared to Other Daycare Apps *2023-12-13* Our daycare recently switched from BrightWheel to this app and it is such a disappointment. There is always a lag while things load. The picture quality is terrible when they post photos. Parents don’t receive notifications for activities posted through the day and the staff doesn’t get notified when parents send in messages. App is saying I’m due the full month amount by the first. Option to shut off autopay is non existent. It does not let you unselect it. If you are trying to pay from two separate parents, good luck. Ever since my child’s school changed to this program for afterschool it’s been difficult to navigate. Unable to disable autopay and was charged for an incorrect amount and with the problems with the after school program itself, overall experience has been terrible. There needs to be significant improvement in both the program and app itself. When I close and reopen it says authenticating account and does nothing. ### 1/5 — The newest update September 2025 *2025-09-04* Horrible update, I updated my app and it logged me out and every time I try to log in now it says error and won’t let me log in. I tried my account and my wife’s account and it won’t allow either of us to log in. My wife has not updated her app on her phone and it works fine still. Most of us parents have issues with getting into the building either to drop off or pick up our children. We end up waiting outside until someone comes to the door, which makes me feel bad for the teachers since they already have a busy day. ### 1/5 — Parent Experience is Poor *2025-08-10* The older system allowed to do similar access between mobile and web. This system seriously limits the web application and helpful features. Namely, there is no way to access photos on the web version. Additionally, there is no longer emailed daily reports, or even the option of them. I’ve accidentally set up my bank account multiple times because it doesn’t load the accounts properly and now I can’t disable auto pay on the extra accounts. My only comment would be notifications for activities that the child does. When they ate or used the restroom. I can login and check but no notifications. We've been working hard to make sure the login process is smooth and we are so glad it's working better for you. ### 3/5 — Ok but not great *2024-09-04, version 2.8.15* Only been using a few days with our preschool. For one in the gallery once you click on an image It doesn’t allow you to scroll through each picture you have to X out of each picture and pull up another. Also when checking in a child if the teach tablet doesn’t have a good connection to WiFi like I experienced this morning it will have a problem loading up the QR code for the parent to check in or out the student. I understand that it wants a real time connection for security purposes but this caused a delay. Fortunately after closing the program and reloading and waiting another few minutes it came up. But the only other solution was to manually check the student in. Which could lead to another accountability issues. ### 3/5 — 3 Stars *2024-08-31, version 2.8.15* Honestly, the only real ask I have is that photos carry the metadata time over when saving to my phone. I choose to adjust them manually, but it’s definitely a pain. ### 3/5 — Poor user experience *2023-10-02* Our daycare switched from Brightwheel to this platform due to background features apparently, but as the parent the experience has been poor. 1) The interface feels cluttered and dated making it not intuitive where to go. Brightwheel used simple interfaces that landed you where you were more frequently going and hid other information that you might go to once or infrequently (think account and info) 2) although I have notifications on it seems to only push for announcements and messages and not feed activity. Brightwheel let the user pick the level of notifications. I want all feed activity to show me throughout the day. 3) you can’t use a desktop version. While at work I don’t always have my phone on so I like to see the browser or be able to download photos not on my phone or to see things bigger there where it is more ergonomic to read than on a phone. 4) you can’t zoom into images and see the details of your kids experiences amongst the group. 5) teachers are also not notified about messages so early pickup times might be missed if it wasn’t when they were deliberately looking at the app. The team should definitely check out brightwheel for user experience tips and steal what they legally can. KT might be better on the pocket or the 5 office staff but it is a huge downgrade to the parents and my understanding to the teachers in the room. I’m sad.
