## What is KT Pulse?

Kt-Pulse Mobile is the app counterpart for licensed users of Kt-Pulse software, the #1 Manufacturing Performance Management software for monitoring manual and semi-automated manufacturing processes. Our configurable, cloud-based software drives real-time visibility and optimizes productivity, downtime and quality across all of your manufacturing locations. It is OEE software for operator-driven manufacturing processes.
 

When it comes to manual and semi-automated manufacturing, productivity is traditionally measured using cumbersome paper-based methods. Kt-Pulse enables manufacturing facilities of any size to move their paper-intensive processes to a digital platform in just a few hours, enabling them to:


• Generate more accurate, real-time productivity insights from the manufacturing floor to make better, faster decisions


• Identify production issues to reduce downtime and quality losses with real-time OEE and operational data across every plant, department, line and shift


• Make the production schedule visible and accurately predict when batches will be completed and ready for shipment


• Drive more effective team meetings with dashboards that provide all of the critical productivity information at a shift, daily, weekly or monthly level


With the Kt-Pulse collector app, production operators generate the most accurate data possible across the manufacturing floor. Through the associated Kt-Pulse analytics web app, this data is turned into actionable, real-time insights. So, whether it’s team leads or plant managers, lean engineers or operational excellence directors, your team get the insights they need to drive meaningful and lasting operational efficiency improvements. 


How it works


The Kt-Pulse system consists of three components that work seamlessly together; the Setup web app, the Collector app and the Analytics web app.


• The Setup web app enables the user to configure the system for their needs, e.g. setting up shift patterns, output targets and scrap codes for the manual or semi-automated processes they want to monitor


• Once setup, the Kt-Pulse app collects data in real-time from these processes. Tablets are placed in flexible gooseneck holders and located at critical manufacturing processes, right where the production operators are working. As the operators carry out their work, they log good units, defects, rework, downtime and changeovers through quick interactions with the app. Logging the data becomes part of their flow, part of their standard work. The progress bar shows them precisely how they are performing versus plan, creating a rhythm for the process.


• As events are logged, the data is sent to a secure cloud-based server. The Kt-Pulse analytics web app presents the data on a range of dashboards and tables to keep everybody in the manufacturing team up-to-date, in real-time. The suite of dashboards are designed with every use case in mind. The live snapshot views give you the key vitals at a glance. The daily and weekly reviews give a more detailed breakdown for team meetings. And the longer term trend charts point to where the biggest improvement opportunities exist.

- Automatically create new action items when logging downtime, scrap and speed loss issues.

### 1.6.2 — 2024-01-03

This new 1.6.2 version has been upgraded with the latest technical upgrades and with the following new features:
- Switch between Unplanned & Planned Downtime: Users can now toggle between unplanned and planned downtime during a live downtime event.
- App Revision: It is now possible to see what version of the Kt-Pulse Collector app is running on each workstation, via the Events List table.
