## What is Kuma Companion?

Time Jump arrives in KUMA Timer v1.12 — the iPad now mirrors stealth countdown cuts hidden as small 10–30 s skips landing on round boundaries. New "TIME JUMP -MM:SS" banner with one-tap cancel. Long-press the TIME GLIDE button to switch mode. Lock Screen Live Activity turns red instantly at zero (no more 20-second delay). Time-of-Day mode never pulses red when the host's timer state is overtime. Audio cues fire reliably across jumps. Smaller polish on stage list pills and memory cleanup.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.2 — 2026-07-04

Now works with Millumin v5 alongside QLab and Mitti — the iPad Monitor
shows Millumin's playing-media remaining time (TCR) and cue name on the
follow line, exactly like it already does for QLab and Mitti.

Custom Look for iPad — you can now design an iPad-only free-layout in the
host's Layout Editor without touching your main display, NDI output or
KUMA Live web view. Each surface can have its own Look.

Logos and images in layouts — assets placed on the host's Clock Windows
canvas (logos, artwork, sponsor bugs) render on the iPad Monitor at full
fidelity, positioned and scaled identically to the on-stage display.

Positioned TCR fields — the follow-source cue time and cue name each
have their own draggable field in the Layout Editor, so on iPad they
appear exactly where you placed them instead of a fixed row.

Faster iPad updates — image bytes now stream out-of-band from the state
snapshot, so the Monitor stays responsive under heavy layouts and slow
Wi-Fi.

Under the hood: source-neutral follow pipeline that keeps working with
older host builds, plus small polish fixes across the Monitor and
Controller views.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-06-18

What's New in 1.4.1

Layout Editor — drag and resize timer, time-of-day, cue, progress bar, SMS, and TCR fields freely on a 1920×1080 canvas. Layouts saved as presets and recallable from Bitfocus Companion.
Mitti integration — TCR (Time Code Remaining) from Mitti appears on Monitor, Controller, and Stages views alongside QLab.
OVERTIME in custom layouts now shows as coloured text (no filled box), consistent with all other surfaces.
Bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.4 — 2026-05-12

BUG FIXES

### 1.3 — 2026-05-07

TIME JUMP support
• Brand new in KUMA Timer v1.12 host: stealth countdown cuts that hide as small 10–30 s skips landing on round boundaries (:00, :30). Last 3 minutes always tick at normal speed.
• KUMA Companion shows the new "TIME JUMP -01:30" banner with countdown of remaining cut, and a one-tap CANCEL.
• Long-press the TIME GLIDE / TIME JUMP button on the REMOTE tab to switch mode without leaving your iPad.
• Pick mode per show — GLIDE for fast seconds, JUMP for invisible skips.

CLEANER DISPLAY MIRRORING
• Per-zone background colours (orange/red warning zones) now propagate from the host to your iPad's Monitor view.
• Lock Screen Live Activity correctly turns red the instant the timer hits zero (no more 20-second green delay while waiting for the host push).
• Time-of-Day / wall-clock mode never inherits overtime visuals — when the host's underlying timer is past zero but you've switched to CLOCK, the iPad mirror stays calm too.

UNDER THE HOOD
• Improved threshold detection for audio cues — cues fire reliably even when the host time-jumps over the exact threshold value.
• Smaller fixes around stage-list status pills, mode-picker colours, and player memory cleanup on disconnect.

Requires KUMA Timer host v1.12 or later for the full feature set. Older hosts fall back gracefully — the new banners and pills hide automatically.

### 1.2 — 2026-05-04

Sound cues, better host app sync, Update notification
