## What is KumetR?

KumetR helps karate coaches turn match footage into clear, actionable insight.

Watch any kumite video, from a phone file, YouTube, or a direct link, and tag every scoring attempt and foul as it happens, right down to the timestamp. KumetR tracks both successful scores and missed attempts, so you get a true picture of an athlete's performance, not just a highlight reel.

FEATURES

- Frame-accurate video tagging: mark Yuko, Waza-ari and Ippon attempts, plus fouls and penalties, as you watch
- Track technique, limb, and tatami position for every attempt
- Jodan/Chudan level tracking for deeper technical analysis
- Shared roster of athletes and competitions across your coaching team, with no duplicates
- Match-by-match and career-long statistics: success rates by technique, foul frequency, and more
- Works with local video files, YouTube links, or direct video URLs
- Secure account with your own private analyses

Built for coaches who want more than a final score, KumetR turns every match into data you can actually coach from.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-12

Share analyses, see your stats in a new light, and get started faster.

• Share an analysis with another KumetR user by email. They can watch it, see your comments and include it in their statistics, but only you can edit it. Stop sharing at any time. What others share is under Account > Shared with me.
• Duplicate analyses: if a shared analysis repeats one of yours, it stays out of your statistics until you decide. Swipe it and choose whether it counts.
• Ask the AI about specific bouts: the chat can now look into individual bouts and actions (a given opponent, competition, moment of the bout, technique...), not only the totals. Premium.
• New look for the statistics charts: a clean ring for score types and slim columns for zones and limbs, in the app's colors.
• Reels from any detail: from a technique, zone or limb you can watch all of those actions, only the ones that scored, or pick among them.
• Final results in the analyses list: score and winner on every finished analysis. In a tie, the winner suggestion goes to whoever scored first (Senshu) unless a foul took it away. Senshu can't be given again once a foul removed it.
• New Analyses tab, with shortcuts between an athlete's analyses and statistics, and search by athlete name across all your analyses.
• Faster new analyses: the "+" starts with the athlete chosen (Aka or Ao), infers the category and sets the round right away (Group phase, Round of 128 to Final, Bronze, Repechage).
• Athletes with the same name can now exist: the app asks whether it is the same person or a different one.
• Welcome guide with pictures, and a "How it works" button in Account. Account shortcuts are now icons.
• Match date and comments on every analysis. Statistics show the predominant guard.
• Maximize the video while tagging. Reels and timeline jumps start 5 seconds before the action.
• If the Photos picker returns no video, you can choose it from the Files app instead.
• Athlete names in capitals. "After projection" is now "After throw". Chinese Taipei added. Other fixes and improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-05

Share analyses and count what matters.

• Share an analysis with another KumetR user by email. They can watch it, see your comments and include it in their statistics, but only you can edit it. Stop sharing at any time and their access disappears. Find what others shared under Account > Shared with me.
• Duplicate analyses: if a shared analysis repeats one of yours, it stays out of your statistics until you decide. Swipe it and choose whether it counts.
• New Analyses tab in the bottom bar, next to Athletes, Competitions and Account.
• Faster new analyses: the "+" now starts with the athlete already chosen (Aka or Ao), infers the category when both athletes share it, and lets you set the round right away (Round of 128 to Final, Bronze, Repechage).
• Match date and comments: record when the bout took place (it defaults to the competition date) and add notes to any analysis.
• Athlete statistics now show the predominant guard and the percentage of actions made with it.
• Maximize the video while tagging, also for uploaded videos.
• Reels and timeline jumps now start 5 seconds before the action or foul.
• Athlete names are always shown in capital letters, and the athlete form capitalizes them as you type.
• "After projection" is now "After throw". Chinese Taipei added to the countries.
• Smaller icons on the athlete list, and subtitles no longer get cut off.
• Other fixes and improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-02

What's New in v1.1
• Reorganized stats: you can now see points and fouls conceded too, with the same level of detail as scored (technique, tatami zone, limb used) — including the option to create a reel from any of these areas.
• Wins, losses and draws now shown right at the top of each athlete's stats.
• Faster, more accessible reel creation, with simpler match filtering.
• Offline analyses: start a new analysis and tag points/fouls with no connection — it syncs automatically once you're back online.
• You can now fine-tune the exact second of an already-tagged action (with +1s/-1s shortcuts).
• Fixed video playback issues that sometimes froze mid-review (YouTube and OneDrive).
• Various visual and layout improvements across the athlete and analysis screens.
