## What is KumiDesign?

Know what to load on every strand before you start braiding.

KumiDesign is an offline pattern workbench for beaded kumihimo braiders, jewelry makers and artisans who want to create their own color combinations. Use it when you need to turn an idea into strand-by-strand bead sequences, work out how many beads to prepare and keep your place while you braid.

PREPARE THE BEADS, NOT ANOTHER SPREADSHEET
Paint a consumption-order chart or edit each strand directly. See the bead sequence for every strand, then switch to the reversed loading order. Clear color codes and numbered beads help you keep bobbins organized.

MAKE THE PATTERN YOUR OWN
Repeat a motif, mirror rows, fill sections or replace a color. Undo and redo your edits. Plan different bead quantities on different strands, including intentional movements without a bead.

COUNT BEFORE YOU BUY OR POUR
Get exact bead counts by color and strand, add a spare allowance and export a materials CSV. Record bead dimensions and workshop notes. Length estimates are available when you enter measurements from your own matching sample.

FOLLOW ONE CLEAR MOVE AT A TIME
Use structure-specific disk setups and numbered source and destination slots. Follow each bead, plain movement and disk turn, then save your progress and return to it later.

KEEP YOUR WORK AT THE WORKBENCH
Save, search and duplicate local projects. Recover recently deleted designs and back up your library. Preview and share an offline PDF with materials, loading lists and the complete movement guide.

FOUR STRUCTURES
7-strand fill the gap; 8-strand round Kongoh gumi; 12-strand asymmetric spiral; 16-strand Kongoh gumi. Each uses its own setup and movement rules.

ONE PURCHASE. NO SUBSCRIPTION.
Download and try the design tools. A single non-consumable purchase unlocks PDF, CSV and editable design exports. Restore a previous purchase with your Apple account. Library backups remain available without payment.

DESIGNED FOR A FOCUSED CRAFT TABLE
Native iPhone and iPad interface, English and Spanish, accessible color codes, local files and no ads. Design and export tools work offline; Apple purchases and restoration may require a connection.

The chart shows bead consumption order and the guide shows disk movements. It is not a 3D or physically exact preview of the finished cord. Recorded bead dimensions do not simulate the packing of mixed bead shapes or sizes.
