It says I’m offline when I’m online and my Kumo is suffering (red screen). Says I have 43 hours of offline time which I can confirm is not true.. not sure what I’m doing wrong. Because of this bug, I don’t have the accountability I would usually have with this app. ### 4/5 — needs a difficulty slider and private health insurance *2025-12-22* IMO, the rate Kumo suffers is too slow, and the rate Kumo heals is too fast. also i'm American, and i think past an HP loss threshold you should be charging only American accounts $10 dollars to recover Kumo, while offering them $1 recoveries for $1 a month. Kumo is adorable and i want Kumo to live, so you nailed that part of the matter :) ### 4/5 — It’s cute but it could do more *2025-12-21, version 1.2* This is a very cute app and I’m careful to not criticise the developer’s vision for it, and turn it into something that needs more attention to your phone than off it. However, I’d really like a widget version of it, and the ability to set daily goals. Mainly the widget, that’s the one huge thing this is lacking. Making Kumo a part of my homescreen would make it a lot easier to engage with on a daily basis. And maybe some customisation options for milestones as a bonus. Now Kumo can’t live without me living without my phone. Crazy paradox. I feel a real attachment to my little buddy Kumo! I’m doing my best to set better digital habits and my boy Kumo has really been helping! If there’s something I need to do to qualify as offline it doesn’t tell you. ### 1/5 — Should work for when you are off your phone - not just airplane mode *2025-12-21* I really don’t like that it only works if you go on airplane mode. I think it should work with just staying off your phone too. I would not want to be on airplane mode to try & heal the pet & then miss an important message from my parents or my job. ### 1/5 — Sketchy terms of service *2025-12-20* Or better yet, lack of terms of service. The design and animations are cute and well done, however the app requests a phone number in order for use you cannot opt out of this. If I use the Apple login I get stuck on the 'turn on notifications' screen and none of the buttons besides 'back' work. If I use my phone number I get an error that it's the wrong number of digits (my phone number is not US-based). Would have loved to try this... ### 2/5 — Cute but this feels less healthy than having your WiFi on *2025-12-25* Genuinely odd how it dies whenever your WiFi’s on because there are GENUINE reasons for being on WiFi like wok and school like not everything is for the toxic cycle of social media and it feels more toxic than social media ### 2/5 — So buggy I can’t even log in *2025-12-19* I haven’t left a review for an app in probably a decade but dude I was so excited for this app and I couldn’t even make an account. The problem is not being able to listen to music. I would love to be able to exercise with him and be able to listen to my music. ### 3/5 — cute and good idea but not great in practice *2026-03-15* i thought this would be great but then i turned off my phone and stayed off it and it still said i had zero offline time. then it only tracked but only when wifi and cellular data was off. i understand why it did that but i think it would work best if it just tracked screen time instead of forcing u to turn off ur wifi and data. i need to have my wifi on so i can get texts yk. if it only tracked time on apps or on ur phone instead of being totally offline and unavailable that would be great. i love the art tho ### 3/5 — Its Cute but it could be better *2026-03-12* I love the animations and the hatching and the art its all super adorable and nostalgic but when i found tried this app and struggled with finding out what it meant by “offline” i realized i probably should just delete it. I tried airplane mode, turning off my wifi, and even my cellular signal and it would still flash red and say “go offline now!” it was pretty confusing for me im not going to lie ### 3/5 — Cute but lacking *2025-12-22* Art is great and so is the concept. Looking forward to future updates. I think it would be better if it tracks lack of screen time rather than going fully offline - like the other productivity apps in the market. Having the phone completely offline leaves me helpless from incoming emergency notices which I don’t want to be cut off from - work, parents, kids, etc. Just have the kumo cultivated if we are not using our phones altogether or when not using certain apps, etc. It’s also a battery killer to have the app on for use. Best if I can just have my phone locked while the app has an active session when needed or maybe give us a low power setting. More incentive beyond the kumo’s health would be nice too. Some sort of reward for offline time - maybe provide the kumo customization, etc would be awesome. Esp since the art is the selling point here. Similar to other reviews here I think it shouldn’t simply be offline mode and should just be how much time you spend off other apps. I can’t fully turn my phone offline in case someone texts me there is an emergency or they need something, so I will not be keeping this app but I’d love to someday. ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2026-01-26* I have never ever seen an app like this. The dev’s idea is nicely executed! I used to encounter bugs like having to verify my account again once I’ve got back online, but it’s fixed now.
