## What is Kuna?

App controls the Kuna Camera Wall Plate. Does NOT work with other Kuna or Maximus devices.
Kuna-SE is designed to help you prevent break-ins and protect what matters to you most, from anywhere in the world.

Have a Kuna Powered security device or smart light? You’ll need the Kuna mobile app to set up and control your Kuna, Maximus, and Toucan smart security devices.

 After you’ve created a free Kuna account and connected your Kuna Powered device(s) to your Wi-Fi network, you’ll have access to all of Kuna’s powerful preventative security features:

Security:
- As soon as activity is detected, Kuna starts recording and sends actionable alerts, so you can see what’s happening and decide how to respond.

- With Kuna’s instant two-way intercom and pre-recorded messages, it’s easy to see and communicate with whoever’s outside, anytime.

- In the event of an emergency, you can quickly call the police and/or sound a piercing 100dBA siren right from the Kuna mobile app.


Monitoring:
- Stream live HD video anytime, day or night - so there’s no need to wonder what’s going on outside your home.

- “Smart detection” captures activity 10 seconds before and after an event is triggered, providing recordings that are actually useful.

- Easily share important and memorable footage with family, neighbors, and law enforcement officials.

- Go “back in time” to rewind and download every event captured for up to 2 hours free, and up to 30 days on an optional premium plan.

### 1/5 — Worst company to deal with.  ZERO stars!

I wish I had read the other review before I purchased.I too replaced a camera spotlight and the new app is terrible. Got the run around trying to get a return label. Every time I called they said they will escalate it.  All they did was escalate my request to the trash! Buyer beware!

I’ve had Kuna products for years and have been very happy with them. I needed to replace my Kuna porch light and had to buy the camera mount. It’s easy to install but when the app is downloaded, it didn’t connect to the camera. My iPhone detects the Kuna Bluetooth signal and it’s also enabled in the app. The app will only detect an existing Kuna floodlight that is attached to the old app (which is an entire OTHER can of worms). Why have two apps? Why will the app not acknowledge that the new camera is detected by my phone but the app keeps spinning and trying to refresh? Kuna customer support is garbage and only adds to the frustration. I’ve spent nearly a week of almost daily communication trying to remedy this to no avail. I really wish I’d read the reviews of this new setup before dropping $250 for this garbage.

UPDATE:
Kuna FINALLY sent me a return authorization with a shipping label, after 17 phone calls and 40 or so email communications. Still waiting for the return to go to my card.

I have absolutely had it with this app and the new floodlight camera. The app does not work - I can’t get it to connect to the new camera at all. Customer service has been horrendous and has been zero help telling me to delete and redownload the app. Has done nothing. I’m ready to return the camera and switch to another brand. I’ve had the porch light for years with zero problems on the other app. Why there are two apps I don’t understand…absolute garbage.

Very poor quality, never worked and the customer service is non-existent and they do not provide replacement or repair to new unopened product. I don’t recommend buying, waste of time, money, installation costs.

Old app was better than the new. Had older cameras got a new one , they wouldn’t merge . Months later they merged. Now on new app ,  when you click on a camera or try to zoom in my screen goes black . 
It will
Show footage with a car ( car icon on bottom of screen) but when a person is detected I don’t always get a person icon )
I see a delay now .

Day recap is nice though .

So maybe I just need to update my old cameras to new ones or find a different service

Trying to resubscribe but it’s not recognizing my login when trying to subscribe yet it lets me log in to use the non sub account which only lets me view last two hours sometime glitchy

We have had some version of Kuna for the past six years or so. Multiple units around the house. Even sold family and friends on buying in. While it wasn’t optimal to have to buy four replacement units during that time, I always wrote it off to 24/7 use year round.  When the wall plates replaced the porch lights, we adjusted and installed three to replace three that no longer worked. Now we pay for a service we cannot use. It refuses to show live despite us trying different network configurations. Another option left light just crashed out, but there is no point in replacing it apparently. Customer service? Let’s be real, it’s hard enough to get a menu order right with an Indian server much less tech help once removed. We are now replacing all of our units as are our friends and family.  Seek out better options.
