## What is Kungchi?

Kungchi bundles a drummer's entire practice routine into one app.

Metronome — 30–300 BPM, time signatures, background playback. Catch a song's tempo with tap tempo, and push your limits with the tempo trainer that speeds up every N bars.

Record & BPM detection — Record your playing and see your tempo in real time, with section-by-section analysis. Loop tricky parts with A/B repeat and slow-down playback.

Rhythm scoring — The core feature. Play along with the metronome and Kungchi measures how many milliseconds each hit lands ahead of or behind the beat, with grades and histograms that reveal your timing habits.

Sheet music & setlists — Import scores from photos or PDF and annotate with a pen. Performance setlists retune the metronome as you swipe between songs.

Practice log — Metronome, recording and scoring sessions are logged automatically into daily stats and streaks.

Everything stays on your device. No ads, ever.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-20

• Apple Watch app: control recording and the metronome from your wrist, and check stroke count and timing stability for each practice session.
• Kungchi Pro: unlock the weakness drill, gap click, and growth report with a one-time lifetime purchase. No subscription, no ads.
• Everyone who installed before this update keeps those features free.
• Metronome, recording, BPM and tempo analysis, sheet music, and setlists stay free for everyone.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-11

Added a "Pro preview" label to Drill and Gap Click. These features will become part of Kungchi Pro later — everyone who installed before then keeps them for free.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-28

Updates for your drum practice:

• Weak-spot drill — tap Drill on any flagged section in tempo analysis to loop it instantly with A/B markers at 0.75x.
• Gap click — the metronome mutes every 2/4 bars (or randomly) so you practice holding tempo through silence.
• Better tempo analysis for real acoustic drum recordings — long takes and cymbal-heavy rooms now analyze reliably.
• Minor fixes to playback progress display.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-27

Score viewer improvements:

• Double-tap to turn pages — tap the right half twice for the next page, the left half for the previous page, even mid-performance.
• Annotation fix — pen strokes now start instantly and track accurately from the very first touch.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-13

A big update for your drum practice!

• Tempo analysis: see where you rushed or dragged on a chart, tap a section to listen from there
• Metronome subdivisions: quarter, eighth, triplet, sixteenth
• More accurate BPM detection with 1/2 and x2 manual correction
• Fairer rhythm scoring curve
• Multi-select and batch delete recordings, share WAV files
• Access recordings in the Files app
