## What is Kunstpalast?

Have a multidimensional experience of the Kunstpalast with the free app: Using augmented reality features, works from the collection and stories around them are brought to life. Animations and other supplementary elements offer exciting background information and baffling effects, allowing you to virtually become immersed in the works of art. A range of tours for adults and children enables you to discover the collection according to your individual interests. Audio as well as video content and introductory texts provide useful background information on more than 100 works from the collection.

ABOUT THE KUNSTPALAST
From Rubens and Richter to razors. The spectrum of our collection, which comprises over 100,000 objects, reaches beyond that of nearly any other museum in Germany. Under its roof, the Kunstpalast unites virtually all artistic genres and a multitude of historical periods. Visitors are invited to embark on a journey through an international art history, starting with paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings dating from the medieval and early modern periods and further encompassing classic works of the 20th century and today. Applied arts and design as well as a unique glass collection further broaden the scope of the collection. Positions of artists from all continents, with a particular focus on Japanese and Islamic art, offer an unparalleled diversity of works.

Wenn man den Audioguide einmal zum Laufen gebracht hat, hat man Zugang zu sehr guten Kurzbeschreibungen ausgewählter Exponate. 

Hierzu entweder das Telefon ans Ohr halten oder aber die innere Kamera zu halten (das simuliert das ansohrhalten) oder umgedreht auf eine Fläche legen. Dann klappt es auch mit Bluetooth. 

AR sehr instabil. Schöne Idee - klappt aber meist nicht.

Sehr nervig war, dass es nicht möglich war, die Audios im Sperrbildschirm zu hören. Immer wieder brach dann das Audio ab, wenn ich nicht die ganze Zeit per tippen dem Bildschirm anhielt.

Die für das Update angekündigten Neuerungen sind in der App nicht zu finden. So hätte ich den Audio-Guide für die Richter-Ausstellung sehr gerne installiert. Vielleicht lässt sich das bis zum Ausstellungsbeginn noch nachholen.
Fehler wurde sehr schnell behoben.

Gestern aufgespielt und ausprobiert - könnte übersichtlicher sein, aber das ist nicht das Wesentliche: Der VR-Teil funktioniert nicht, jedenfalls nicht bei meinem iOS. Laut Aussage eines Mitarbeiters, den ich um Rat fragte, bin ich bei weiten nicht der Einzige mit dieser Erfahrung… Wahrscheinlich nicht genug ausgetestet.
