Now the pauses are shorter than they were, so maybe that’s an improvement. And I haven’t heard any repeating, yet. Don’t understand why this long standing problem can’t be fixed. ### 3/5 — Love the station, hate the ads *2026-03-04* I love KUOW, but the ads the you are required to listen to before the streaming starts is extremely annoying. It’s the same ads every time. And if I’m switching from the radio to the app, there’s no continuity…I have to listen to two mins of ads first. I think my only reason for leaving a star off is it should start me at news. However, it intermittently quits. This happens regardless where I am. Home, with a very strong connection or around Whidbey Island. But it's a good concept and the podcast function is handy. I use the app daily but those are annoying attributes. If I’m leaving my car and want to continue listening, I can’t because there is a minute of ads so by the time the radio starts, what I was listening to is over. Now it’s a dreary collection of often ignorant people giving opinions with zero reasoning or facts. We don’t need to know how to use the app EVERY SINGLE TIME IT’S OPENED. So I click to proceed and it immediately starts the broadcast, I close the broadcast and it immediately starts the demo, then I click to proceed, starts the broadcast.
