## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Limited Choices

*2026-06-09*

This could be a good app, but it is limited with diverse selection. Couldn’t curate just for my taste. Very limited.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-04-15*

Love the app! It makes it easier to find what you want, track what you watch, and discover something new. The only thing I’d love is the ability to track each episode I’ve watched and a bonus would be notifications for when the next episode drops

### 5/5 — Finally, Something to watch

*2026-08-12*

Kurato solves our “what should we watch?” problem. We used to spend forever jumping between streaming apps and channels on Apple TV, only to end up watching nothing. Kurato makes it much easier to quickly find a movie that actually sounds good.

### 5/5 — Engaging Recommendation App

*2026-08-02*

I love using this app and out of the other recommendation apps this feels like it focuses on my ratings way more. It feels more personalized. Even the book recommendations which isn't fully finished is pretty good so far. I would love to see games, music, maybe even paintings or something with this format too.

### 5/5 — Excellent curation tool

*2026-07-30*

I’ve been looking for something like this for quite some time. I added my favorite books, movies, and films and it got to work recommending me many more of my favorite of each. After an hour of adding media, I started getting recommendations for things I haven’t consumed, and all have been very good recommendations. I’m VERY impressed thus far.

If I may make a suggestion: could there be some explanation as to how the star ratings affect the recommendations? I can’t tell if it’s better for me to mark something I’m not interested in as 1 star or “not interested”. For example, I gave Ready Player One a single star hoping the app would recognize I hate this book and others like it, and I immediately got a recommendation for Dungeon Crawler Carl because I “liked Ready Player One”.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-07-12*

So great at suggesting new entertainment

### 5/5 — True curation without bloat and b.s.

*2026-06-25*

Love how niche the recommendations are! Love that there aren’t any ads popping up. Love that it doesn’t autoplay stupid clips of movies I don’t care about.

I get so sick of streaming services recommending the same things to me over and over again, or assuming that once I watch a certain genre, that’s the only genre I want to see forever.

Even if you rate something on a streaming service, it’ll continue to shove it in your face. It’s cool how once you rate something on this app, it doesn’t recommend it to you anymore.

This could end up being a total time slurping, rabbit-hole type of app for me though. I’ve found so many obscure things I never would’ve found otherwise, and the more you click, the more you find.

### 5/5 — Great recommender app

*2026-02-12*

This app is great so far. Has all the recommendations in one place and shows what streaming apps you can find them on. It’s continuing to grow and add new features all the time which is awesome. Helps me save shows to watch later based on my ratings and searches so I don’t have to scroll endlessly when I’m ready to watch something!

### 5/5 — Great!

Great quality media recommender!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

Great tool that helps me find new content.

## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Kurato

*2025-11-06*

I’ve been using Kurato for just over a week now, and it’s completely transformed how I discover new movies and TV shows! As someone who’s always scrolling endlessly through streaming apps, Kurato’s personalized recommendations are a game-changer—they adapt to my tastes so accurately that I’ve already binged several hidden gems I never would’ve found otherwise. The interface is super intuitive, making it easy to create and save collections for later. Plus, with books, podcasts, music, and games on the horizon, I can’t wait to see how it expands. If you’re tired of wasting time searching for content, download Kurato—it’s worth every second!
