The fact that developer responses to comments in English about language issues are entirely in Korean really drives that point home. And I can’t login any more - I put in my SMTown info, the login slides up, the screen dims, and then nothing. No error message, no indication anything is happening, just stuck on a dimmed splash screen. ### 1/5 — For Koreans ONLY!!! 👏👏👏 *2022-09-16, version 1.0.0* For Koreans ONLY!! Forget the international fans… we aren’t people that matter…. Are we EVEN people?? 🤷‍♀️ Or maybe just a fairytale 🧚🏻‍♂️ Maybe we don’t really exist?? 🦄 At least not to SM Entertainment. Once again, SM Entertainment proves that they fall short on pretty much everything they do 👏 A prime example is that their new KWANGYA app, that they have forced ALL FANS to move to, has no translation options. So unless you are Korean, forget about having fun on this app & connecting with your favorite artists. If you’re not Korean, you don’t matter. You aren’t real. You aren’t a fan. SM artists ONLY have Korean fans 😉😉🤣 Omg… There’s a language change option for navigating the app but not for translating posts, which is what is needed. During the BETA testing there was no translation option & I figured… surely they’ll add it in September when the app is officially launched 🤔 But with the track record of SM, I wasn’t holding my breath. And on cue, I was disappointed again. No translation options still. At this point, Lysn is considerably better than this app…. I can’t believe I’m saying that 😕 You’d think this would be one of the first things they’d MAKE SURE to include. Obviously international fans are not a priority to SM Entertainment. Sad, considering we make up a huge proportion of their fan bases. But when apps like this ostracize all non-Korean fans, it’s not a wonder they don’t download the app or join the fan clubs. What better way to prove we are a fairytale 🧚🏻‍♀️ than to make sure we have the hardest time possible trying to participate in supporting our artists! 🤩 I don’t recommend this app to international fans unless you want to translate LITERALLY EVERYTHING!! 👍🏻 Loads of fun! 🫥 There are many other issues with this app as well, but this is the most pressing one. Every other international fan I’ve talked to about this agrees. We want translation options. WHY are there none? There’s really no excuse for it. So developer, please DON’T reply to me unless it’s to say that FULL translation options WILL be added & when. Because there’s nothing else to say. I paid for the kit an d am not being allowed to access it even though I have the code and everything. Then when I could finally join again they took away my ace. What makes it even better is if I try to register another ace it says I already have it but my account shows basic. However, I cannot even register under the app because of the language barrier. SM tweeted about the NCT127 ACE membership and it was included for international fans so why is there not a language option for international fans? I am registered on LYSN and was hoping to transfer everything over to the Kwangya Club app like I was promised I would be able to once I bought the membership, however I do not see a way to be able to do that with this barrier. If this app is to help us connect with the artists and for the artists to be able to connect with ALL fans why are there not all language options? It doesn’t seem like it’s for ALL the fans if it’s just in one language. There is not a Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, English, Italian or any other option than Hangul. I understand that these artists are Korean which makes sense that the app is in Hangul but if, like stated before, this app is for EVERYONE, why is there not an option for everyone to be included? If there’s any customer service, it’s all in Korean so I can’t even access it and it isn’t easy to find in the first place. They announced that they would be making the KWANGYA club app instead. It was easy to use and I get notifications from it. The problem is there is never a translation button. They also post things in the app that fans can’t see unless they want to pay a re-accruing fee. This new “ace club” feature allows fans that pay to see photos that the artists post as individuals or as a group…. Another issue I have is that they post a accurate schedule for fan call and or fansign events but of course unless you fluently read Korean, you can’t understand anything. I have been trying to win one but struggle even trying to see when it is. I will say that the app does have some strong points. They added new features for fans that are interested in going to events and or concerts and notify you in advance of when these things occur. But between me not being able to properly understand what I’m reading and me constantly getting kicked out of my account, I had to give this zero stars. Until it is as smooth and useful as the community feature on their Lysn app it will stay at one star for me(I wanted to leave it at zero but I was forced to give it something). ### 1/5 — Notifications no longer working *2023-01-06, version 1.2.0* If I could chose a half-star rating, I would. I have done everything suggested by app support to fix the issue of not receiving notifications but none of it has worked. I even tried to contact app support but trying to communicate the issue that way is difficult because all of the correspondence is in Korean. Then, of course, is the issue on the app itself of how app users still cannot translate ANY of the posts from Korean into English. It seems to me that nothing about this app is working correctly at the moment. Ace membership also gives international fans no form of benefits so there was no purpose of them making this app and they should’ve remained with Lysn. ### 1/5 — How is this a global app?! *2022-12-20, version 1.2.0* If English is your primary language, don’t bother downloading this app. Lysn at least translates notices but this one is in Korean. Unless, you’re a WayV fan then you’ll get Korean and Chinese. Which is crazy because 127 is a global group but none of their notices were translated to English even when it was regarding their US Tour. To change the language go to the three dots and click the second option, there you’ll find an option for english or other languages and then from there you can go to where it says log in, and click sign up instead if you’re new like me. just saying cuz i’m seeing ppl be confused by that, it’s pretty easy when you know what to do. If this didn’t help anyone there’s tutorials on tik tok!! And to the creators of the app, at least give some sort of tutorial😭😭 ### 3/5 — Translations needed *2022-09-08, version 1.0.0* The artists schedules and messages are all in Korean. There doesn’t seem to be a way to translate what they are saying. Other than that, the app is easy to use and navigate. It just defeats the purpose if you can’t understand what they’re saying. ### 2/5 — Will translations and notifications ever work? *2023-03-15* As others have mentioned, translation services like on Lysn don’t work so really you’d have to find translations of any notices elsewhere if you’re not fluent in Korean. In addition, I never receive notice notifications even though I have notifications on. I have to find out about scheduling cancellations, artist posts, and anything else official by going and manually checking myself or through social media, which beats the purpose of having the app and paying for the ACE memberships, in my opinion.
