My experience ended up being pretty poor. The car was not ready at the booked pickup time (and in fact ended up being about 30 minutes late). They seemed pretty disorganized. Now, 3 months after this trip, I’m still receiving toll charges with no answer or explanation as to when they will stop charging my card. Overall, a pretty terrible customer experience and I will never use Kyte again. ### 1/5 — Poor customer support *2025-06-24, version 2.77.0* They do not have adequate processes to handle minor deviations from the norm (e.g. using a temporary license during renewal). After making a series of errors, their customer support will waste your time without providing resolution. No reason to choose them over their competitors. ### 2/5 — Delivery was late *2025-06-06, version 2.77.0* I selected 7am for the surfer to come drop off but it automatically changed it to 7:56, so now I’ll be late. Way cheaper than your traditional methods of the past. Extremely accommodating and fairly affordable. They cut out the horrible paperwork and waiting. It’s been a game changer and brought so many hours back to me. I was told by customer service (over “chat,” absolutely no one will speak to you on the phone) that the only option was for me to delete the booking and make a new one with a new account. I did, and the cost had gone up more than $100. I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do. Nothing about the booking changed — time, date, location. I just needed to swap a driver. Won’t find addresses. Very stupid app. Bad company. No money. Bad app. ### 3/5 — Extra Charges *2025-04-30, version 2.76.0* Kyte advertises that it will handle any extra charges like tolls, citations and you don’t have to worry about it - however it will charge up to $100 of extra admin fees for paying citations so make sure not to rely on them for this. ### 2/5 — Good idea but rip you off on extras *2025-04-30, version 2.76.0* Good idea but in the end not much better than the bigger rental companies aside from the drop off option. I keep getting extra fees after the rental. They don’t let you use your own ez pass but charge you the non ez pass rate plus a 33% admin surcharge on tolls.
