I paid my EMI on the due date through the L&T Finance app using UPI because the auto-debit was not processed. Even after paying on time, I was charged ₹590 as bounce charges. If the auto-debit was not processed on 3 July, it could have been attempted the next day after verifying the payment instead of immediately treating it as a bounce and charging me. Customers should not be penalized when they have already paid the EMI on time. The most disappointing part is that neither L&T Finance nor the bank is taking clear responsibility, and the customer is left to resolve the issue alone.
