### 5/5 — It works

*2024-02-03*

A little difficult at first. But I’ve figured out that in every lesson, you do the Translation quiz first, then go on to do the Picture and Guided quizzes. Repeat until 100%, then move on to the next lesson. It works better that way. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-11-06, version 5.70.0*

It worked fine until I payed for it , then the lesson part won’t open the new words section, the quiz sections works, but nothing to be quizzed on

### 5/5 — Great App!!

*2019-08-28*

The only one that actually works. Others teach you words in various ways. This one teaches words, alternatives, meanings, grammar and why they and sentences are structured that way and builds you up to learn sentences that you will actually need and can use. I just wish there was more lessons in this app for advanced students.

### 5/5 — Best Tagalog language app yet.

*2019-06-17, version 5.70.0*

I tried Rosetta Stone for 6 months and it wasn’t nearly as helpful as this app. This app focuses on what’s most useful in conversations and is very easy to understand. I like how it tests your ability to translate the words in multiple ways, including giving the English word and having you find the Tagalog definition. The picture choices are even from the Philippines unlike some apps that use the same photos for every language. Clearly they put a lot of work into the development of this app.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2018-09-04, version 5.70.0*

I can't do any of the lessons. I can only do quizzes. 😕

### 5/5 — Best PH language learning app

*2018-08-07*

Amazing app. Absolutely love it! I’ve tried about 10-15 Filipino language learning apps but this one is the best.

Recommendation: Please upgrade to accommodate iPhone X.

### 4/5 — One of the best

*2018-07-14*

Really good app for learning Tagalog. Not perfect, but this app will help any learner starting out in Tagalog. Recommended.

### 4/5 — Good but flawed

*2017-10-31, version 5.70.0*

This is probably the best app I’ve seen to help learn Tagalog so far. My biggest problem is the grammar isn’t well explained such as when you would use a prefix, infix, and suffix for which words. Also there are words such as “nakaupo” that aren’t explained in the lesson intro. There’s nothing about the prefix “naka”. Also, There are a mistakes in the wording. For example- when explaining future tense it would still say “past tense”. Also there are a couple translation errors like “Ang batang babea at ang batang babea” is the girl and the girl but the description at the beginning of lesson 2 says the translation is “the girl and the boy”. They’re not huge mistakes but mistakes none the less.

### 5/5 — Very good app and great customer support

*2017-09-08, version 5.70.0*

The key is to use the app often. Do 2 x 15 minute sessions instead of one 30 minute session.
I like the flash cards, the English to Tagalog and Tagalog translations.
Melanie and her team are quite prompt and ready to assist via email- which they have done for me a few times over the years due to me upgrading iPad, iPhone, etc.
They also are introducing a web based program.
I do like it, but it seems to have similar content to the app, albeit with enhanced features and tests to ensure you learn the material. There is a nominal monthly fee instead of paying for the lessons all at once as with this app.
Constructive suggestions....I think an enhanced explanation of verb conjugation would be beneficial. Some of the photos (such as for an airplane) can be improved upon rather than showing a cute boy under an inflatable plane.

I have used the app for a few years now-every time I go to PI.
While most speak English in Manila, outside of metro not everyone speaks it. An effort to learn the language goes a looooong way to showing respect.
This is certainly a more cost effective method rather than shelling out more $$ for Rosetta Stone!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2017-03-08*

I downloaded 4 filipino language apps, this one is by far the best. It could use some proof reading however, and sometimes it teaches a word and then uses a different tagalog word immediately after which is confusing, eg baby = sangol then in the example it uses bata. If using two different words for the same thing a little explanation would be nice. I wont be too critical though, it is a nice app with a native speaker. Not sure if I could learn from this app without my wife helping me though, app could use a little polish but it is worth downloading, alot of free content.
