Also, please improve the Bluetooth connection speed and stability. ### 3/5 — Minimales Feature-Set & asynchroner Shot Timer *2026-04-19* Zunächst das Gute: Das wenige, was die App zu bieten hat, funktioniert bei mir mit Ausnahme des Shot-Timers recht ordentlich. Die Entscheidung, die Linea Micra ohne integrierten Shot-Timer in den Markt zu schicken, ist in dieser Preiskategorie schon kaum nach zu vollziehen. Dass aber der Shot-Timer in der App auf Grund einer Latenzzeit von bis zu 4 sec auch noch unbrauchbar ist, grenzt schon an Unvermögen. Auch sonst beinhaltet die App lediglich ein minimalistisches Feature-Set und bietet nichts, was nicht auch andere deutlich günstigere Espressomaschinen standardmäßig an Board haben. Es wäre schön, wenn die App wenigstens um folgende Features erweitert werden könnte: - Ein mit dem Paddel synchron arbeitender Shot-Timer, wobei ein einstellbarer Offset in sec helfen könnte. Da müsste sowohl die verzögerte Reaktion beim Start, aber auch am Ende des Espresso-Bezuges berücksichtigt werden - Eine optionale und in sec konfigurierbare automatische Abschaltung des Bezuges, z. B. nach 25 sec - die Angabe der aktuellen Ist-Temperatur, zumindest in der gesättigten Brühgruppe. The same in English: First, the good news: The few features the app offers, work quite well for me, with the exception of the shot timer. The decision to launch the Linea Micra without a built-in shot timer is hard to fathom in this price range. But the fact that the shot timer in the app is also unusable due to a latency of up to 4 seconds borders on incompetence. Otherwise, the app also includes only a minimalist feature set and offers nothing that other, significantly cheaper espresso machines don’t already have as standard. It would be nice if the app could at least be expanded to include the following features: - A shot timer that works in sync with the paddle, where an adjustable offset in seconds could help. This would need to account for both the delayed response at the start and at the end of the espresso extraction. - An optional automatic stop of the extraction, configurable in seconds, e.g., after 25 seconds. - Display of the current actual temperature, at least the temperature of the saturated brew group. ### 4/5 — Shottimer *2026-04-16* Ich würde mir wünschen, dass der Timer automatisch auf dem Sperrbildschirm erscheint, sobald man den Shot startet. Overall menu design isn’t very intuitive either. ### 2/5 — Geräteübersicht bitte nachbessern! *2026-03-23* Ich nutze die App täglich mit meiner Linea Micra als Home-User – und genau deshalb ist dieses Verhalten extrem frustrierend: Jedes Mal, wenn ich die App öffne, lande ich zunächst auf der Geräteübersicht, anstatt direkt bei meiner Maschine. Obwohl ich nur eine einzige Maschine besitze, muss ich sie jedes Mal erneut auswählen, um überhaupt zur Steuerung zu gelangen. Warum gibt es keine Möglichkeit, eine Standardmaschine festzulegen? Für die meisten Home-User ist das absolut essenziell. Die aktuelle Logik wirkt, als wäre sie ausschließlich für Nutzer mit mehreren Geräten (z. B. Cafés) gedacht – nicht für den typischen Einzelanwender. Dieses Problem besteht bei mir seit über einem Jahr – bei täglicher Nutzung ist das schlicht unnötig umständlich und nervig. Bitte dringend verbessern: - Option zur Festlegung einer Standardmaschine - Direktes Öffnen der letzten oder bevorzugten Maschine beim App-Start Die Hardware ist hervorragend – die App leider nicht auf dem gleichen Niveau. ### 2/5 — Totally unreliable *2026-03-16, version 1.6.1* The machines are great and known for their constantly reliable products. The software however is the reverse - it barely works, drops connection constantly and is an embarrassment to the brand ### 4/5 — Much Improved *2026-03-14, version 1.6.1* This app has come a long way over the years, so props to La Marzocco for that! The interface is modern, connection is reliable, no app crashing, and they added in some nice bells and whistles to the programming options. My only request is for them to please still add a program for deep cleaning (with Cafiza or the like), which should last several minutes and do a good flush at the end. The existing backflush program is nice, but not nearly robust enough for deep cleaning. Alternatively, give the user the ability to make custom programs and we could easily set up and save a cleaning program exactly how we wanted it. Otherwise, keep up the good work! ### 3/5 — Sauvegarde des recettes? *2026-03-03, version 1.6.1* Simple et de bon goût. Ce qui serait bien c’est de pouvoir créer des recettes avec ce non seulement la température et durées d’extraction et de pré-extraction mais aussi le panier, la quantité de café et la mouture et de pouvoir lancer le tout depuis le widget. Ça servirait de base de données pour ses cafés les plus fréquemment utilisées sans avoir recours à Excel ;) Également pourquoi ne pas ajouter des « raccourcis » pour changer la température ou le temps de pré-extraction? ### 2/5 — Won’t connect with the latest update. *2026-02-27, version 1.6.1* The latest update dropped out the connection. I travel a lot and travel with my machine. Basic functionality (cleaning/backflush) isn't available over Bluetooth, and the WiFi configuration throws an error message every single time you switch networks. I have to delete and re-add my machine Every. Single. Time. If basic functionality were available via Bluetooth, this would be a non-issue for me. But you should fix both. It's infuriating to delete and re-add my machine just to run a cleaning cycle. The process of deleting and re-adding is extremely janky as well. I am a travel nurse, and have recommended against this machine to other travel nurses for this exact reason. These are long standing issues with the la Marzocco app, and should be easy fixes in the age of AI. ### 1/5 — Achtung Cloud Zwang! *2026-05-18* La Marzocco hat einen Cloud Zwang eingeführt. Ihr könnt eure Maschine nur noch über die Cloud benutzen sofern ihr Einstellungen wie Temperatur, Dampfstärke, Boiler, Shottimer ändern / anzeigen wollt. Werden die Server abgeschaltet könnt ihr diese Einstellungen nicht mehr ändern. Dieses Unternehmen interessiert sich kein bisschen mehr für seine Kunden. Ich kann vom Kauf nur abraten. Einfach lächerlich was man hier abzieht. Der Timer startet wenn er will und das Laden der Statistiken dauert ewig. Traurige Entwicklung.
