### 4/5 — Complet et efficace

*2026-04-12*

### 4/5 — One of the best SSH clients on iOS, file feature would be killed but doesn’t work

*2025-09-24*

I’ve tried many ssh clients for iOS. I used iTerminal for a while and Prompt for years.
The keyboard is just better with LaTerminal
Their home grown session keep alive technology is nice; though it stopped working well, perhaps because my Ubuntu version is in extended support

The real killer feature was supposed to be files, but it never works correctly. I try to upload pictures to a server and 99 times out of 100 they come out corrupt

Even within the app, you can browse files, but if you as much as go to antihero app and come back, the connection silently dies and the app doesn’t realize, but starts showing all folders as empty. Really disappointing
Support is non existent, even as a paid user. Apparently there used to be a feedback part in the app, but it was replaced with some AI page or something

Despite all of that, I’m not using a prompt anymore and am still using this, it’s that slick

### 3/5 — Nice UI with stability and usability problems

*2024-11-05*

Could have been a really nice app, the UI is great, but the app crashes reproducible on iOS 18.1. If I try to load a SSH key from file it crashes. On the sessions page the keyboard will not hide and I can no longer reach the Tab bar. As of now, usability is limited.

### 4/5 — Very usable!

*2024-11-02*

I love that La Terminal includes a Nerd font so I can have neovim display icons, and the SFTP server actually works to my surprise. I was sure it would require some specialist faff to setup on the remote; but nope it just works!

The only issue I’m having is related to mouse reporting: it seems to have good support for it, but on VisionOS it’s not very easy to control. I cannot find an option to disable mouse reporting.

I also wish I could change the font, but honestly I’ve no idea how to install a new font on VisionOS anyway.

I’ve been using it for many hours to do some development on a remote system with tmux + nvim, using Nerd Font icons, 24bit colour, and (unintentional) mouse reporting. I’ve bought myself a lifetime Pro license because this is perhaps the only app which makes my VisionPro into a productivity device!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-08-09*

Tasteful, feature rich terminal for iOS

### 5/5 — Good support

*2024-07-14*

Agent forwarding had a bug, I contacted support and they rapidly fixed it.

### 3/5 — It’s nice, but quite laggy

*2024-05-29*

This would be amazing if latency were reduced significantly, I tried using Neovim through it, but it was quite a bit too laggy. It’d also be amazing if scrolling could be made to work with Neovim. Scrolling works in the terminal, but for some reason with Neovim, it just acts like the mouse is clicked and starts highlighting text to yank.

### 3/5 — Too slow to use

*2024-05-09, version 1.8.17*

I don't know what makes this particular terminal so incredibly slow, but it makes it unusable if you're planning to sit down and do work. If you code from a terminal you might think that this is a solution to the inability to code on vision pro -- it's not, unfortunately.

Separately, it no longer works for me -- I think the owner may have price gated some of the ssh features. (certainly reasonable -- but since I'm not sure if that's the cause of the change it bares mentioning)

### 5/5 — Delightfully silly

*2024-04-26*

My needs are light, but I find this client to be a joy to use. Miguel’s sense of humor shines through.

### 3/5 — Blurry fonts, only two window support and pasting on click.

*2024-03-05*

I noticed that the font is blurry compared to other SSH apps for Vision Pro. Despite that, I was unable to open more than two SSH sessions, one in an extra window and another in the main window. Furthermore, clicking on the terminal results in the text on the clipboard being pasted. Those make the app hard to use. Once those issues are fixed it will be a 5 start app!

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for your feedback. We are working on updates to make it easier to open multiple connections to the same host. In the meantime, I’ll share that it is possible to open a second connection, or an additional window, by long-pressing the host you want to connect to and choosing either “New Terminal” or “Open Terminal in new window”.
I’m not sure why our fonts would be blurrier than other apps, but one thing you could check would be to see if a different font works better for you. You can change the font face and size that La Terminal uses by choosing the Settings gear on the left-hand menu, tapping on the Appearance preview, and scrolling down to Fonts. If that doesn’t help, perhaps you could reach out to us through the contact form on our website?

Thanks again!

### 3/5 — Now working on Vision Pro!

*2024-03-03*

First, I'm happy to update this review once things start working.

I can't get anything to connect using the Vision Pro. I have no problem using this app successfully with my iPad or iPhone. With the Vision Pro I see ".waiting ... PolicyDenied" for every host I try connecting to (macOS and Linux). I tried enabling additional diagnostics in settings, but I didn't get any more info. Nicely designed app, however.

I **really** want a setup with the Vision Pro where I can use my paired keyboard and a terminal. And I was hoping this would be it...

*** UPDATE 1 *** I was able to get La Terminal working on Vision Pro by going into Settings -> Apps -> La Terminal, then turn OFF "Local Network Access", then turn ON "Local Network Access". I don't know why network access seemed to not be granted when visionOS prompted me to allow when I first started the app? Anyway, now that everything is working I can give this a proper test drive.

*** UPDATE 2 *** This app really makes the Vision Pro a usable work device for me. It is super cool to have a terminal open, a browser open, music playing, while being immersed on top of a cliff with clouds rolling by.

La Terminal is a bit glitchy, so thank the gods for tmux. The "native" session persistence doesn't seem to do anything. Also, the "tmux" option in the menu is no good because it starts a new session when reconnecting instead of attaching to the existing session. Running tmux is REQUIRED because La Terminal does not seem to handle network glitches gracefully. I will literally be typing in my editor and I get a popup about a network disconnect — this seems specific to La Terminal; I don't see these frequent network interruptions with a-Shell (also I can't run the helix editor with a-Shell, but it renders beautifully with La Terminal).

### 4/5 — Got lots of great details right but blew one of the basics

*2024-02-26*

It’s a cool app with a lot of thoughtful features, but it annoyingly puts a black bar at the top and bottom of the window in order to accommodate rounded corners. I wish they would just make the corners square, so that the text could go right up to the margin.

**Developer response:** Hello, and thanks for your feedback. Sorry we didn't recognize how annoying this clipping until we got our hands on actual hardware.  Our latest update addresses this. Hope that helps!

### 5/5 — This is what I purchased AVP for.

*2024-02-19*

As a linux admin/devops engineer. This is my “killer app” for the AVP. This app makes it possible for me to work effectively on remote clients without relying on my macbook. Other terminal apps work, but this is the first one I’ve used where I immediately knew that I could confidently get work done. I never leave app reviews, but this one definitely deserved it. Hats off to the team behind this!

### 1/5 — issue at ipad os 26. (Korean Language de-compositions)

*2025-09-10*

Korean language is de-compsed, at iPad OS 26. and cannot use. also, no Character support for 2character-wide support. font or some. :(

**Developer response:** Thank you for reporting this. We have confirmed that this issue is affecting how some languages, as well as Emoji, are rendering. We are working on an update to correct this. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused, and I appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

### 1/5 — Very broken

*2025-02-24*

None of the tutorials work, half of the settings buttons don’t seem to do anything. No easy way to change the text size (would expect cmd +/cmd -. Also, double-clicking does a paste. I accidentally paste my clipboard into random files all the time and don’t know I did it until later, after I’ve quit my editor (vim) and there’s no longer an undo buffer. I wish there was a great terminal for vision pro, but this isn’t it.

### 1/5 — Can’t change default port number :(

*2024-02-13*

I don’t use port 22

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2024-01-28*

Fairly decent app with some nice theming options. Unfortunately the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Either pay monthly or pay 70€ once. How about no?

### 1/5 — Rootkit or crypto mining?

*2023-07-25*

Was shocked to discover some sneaky processes on my server, uploaded by this app without any permission or explanation.
And they were discovered only because of very high CPU usage.

### 2/5 — First use on Apple Vision Pro: stuck in the “	keys” dialog

*2026-07-09*

According to website, this app looks promising. However, on opening it for the first time (AVP, Bluetooth keyboard), the app goes to the “key” dialog -that is, add ssh/generate enclave-. Once there, after adding keys or not, it is impossible to exit the dialog UNLESS you click on the “edit” button and exit the dialog from there. The “nerd” symbols do not display well. The app is not mature enough; I will keep trying new versions as it is indeed promising!

### 2/5 — Bad translation. No lang switch.

*2025-08-26*

I don't know what I'm pressing at.
Please add English option.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to point this out. La Terminal does not include an in-app language switch, but it does respect the Preferred Language setting in the iOS Settings app. If you open Settings, search for La Terminal, and set the Preferred Language to English, the app will follow that choice.
We are also working on improving our translations so that the experience is clearer for all supported languages. I am sorry for the confusion this caused and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

### 2/5 — Lot of lag

*2024-04-11*

When typing, there is a lot of lag, so much so that the app is unusable. I ssh’ed into a machine on my local network, and after logging in, there is nothing I am able to do.

### 2/5 — Not working on Vision Pro?

*2024-03-02*

### 2/5 — Can't use, need ed25519

*2024-02-07, version 1.8.3*

Need to be able to use ed25519 ssh key.

### 5/5 — SSH to raspberry pi

*2024-11-10*

Quite good.

### 5/5 — My most used app on Vision Pro

*2024-09-09*

La Terminal and Apple Vision Pro brought back joy and fun to Development of Software for me.
I use la Terminal to run nvim and develop backend software using swift/hummingbird.
I fell in love with sixel in combination with PlantUML: That‘s so much fun!
Maintanance of Virtual Servers can be quickly done in any Situation of life using the iPad.
I celebrate this app.

### 5/5 — Pad und Vision Pro

*2024-09-03*
