### 1/5 — This app is useless

*2023-05-09, version 6.0.2*

I purchased this app the basic one is useless and charge me for the one year with out my approval. Anybody know how to cancel the App.

### 2/5 — Lab Reference Ranges Not Accurate

*2023-04-23, version 6.0.2*

This Application states that the normal Hemoglobin for a Male is:

8.4 - 10.9 mmol/L

The largest most reputable labs in the United States such as Labcorp
and Quest have accurate ranges and never report Hemoglobin in terms of
mmol/L.

This was one of many very unusual,
and I would argue, not in agreement with the most reputable lab services in the United States.

I would use this application with caution.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2023-03-24*

Paid for this years ago now lost the features due to subscription. Deleted it after 6 years. the company is clearly unethical and there are much cheaper options out there. Dont get this app

### 1/5 — Fraud and apple is complicit

*2023-03-07, version 6.0.2*

If you buy an app then years later a company makes it a paid subscription apple should protect you. This is fraud. This is baiting people. Grandfather your early adopters in or give me a refund you greedy people.

### 3/5 — Stopped working?

*2023-02-27*

I actually really liked this app but I’m not sure why nothing will load anymore.

### 1/5 — Charged For An App That Was Already Purchased

*2023-02-26*

I bought this app when I was in NP school and it was useful tool because it came with everything included. Apparently there’s been a recent upgrade and now I’m being a charged additional money for a subscription service that already paid for. I’m sick of these apps trying to nickel and dime people. This is completely unethical.

### 1/5 — 👎🏻

*2023-01-31, version 6.0.2*

I pay for this app in the past , it was one time purchases,
I’m surprised it asking me for monthly payment , and in the time I need it the most,
This is a massive fraud

### 1/5 — Was great

*2023-01-27, version 6.0.2*

I can no longer update this so it will not open. What a shame because it had been a really good quick reference.

### 1/5 — Paid content now behind subscription

*2023-01-12*

Paid user, all content previously available offline for easy reference but now hidden behind predatory paywall subscription without any prior notice or option for grandfathering as an early supporter. Can recommend this app, cannot recommend doing business with this company.

### 1/5 — Let the people who paid keep what they paid for

*2023-01-12, version 6.0.2*

They should follow the model Goodnotes, or Notability uses when changing from paid to subscription.

### 1/5 — What did I pay for?

*2022-12-29*

So I paid for this app. It worked pretty well overall and I used it on occasion. Go to get on today and now the app that I paid $30 for now has a subscription system and all of the data that I paid for is now hidden. I would say bait and switch but that is when it’s free then they make you pay. I’VE ALREADY PAID FOR THE APP! Very disappointed in this company.

### 1/5 — New Pay Wall?

*2022-12-01*

App is now a worthless waste of device memory. Original app that I PURCHASED was pretty useful. Authors recently put the useful information that I paid for behind a subscription. I would not have purchased the app if it had required a subscription. Smells a bit like bait and switch or some other form of shenanigans. I certainly did not agree to this change . Did I mention that I paid for this app? I thought the apple App Store would keep this sort of riff-raff under control.

### 3/5 — Free?

*2022-10-25, version 5.0.8*

How much with a “free” subscription, thanks.

### 1/5 — Update lost my notes and features

*2022-10-24*

Made a one time purchase, now it was updated to a subscription service now I lost prior access to the app I originally paid for this is low

### 3/5 — Great overall but..

*2022-10-01*

The editing range feature doesn’t work. Some labs I’d like to change to what my textbook says so I can keep it consistent, but when I go to edit the range it will not save. I also don’t know what the “high low and Sym” buttons at the top of each lab do… I thought if I press them it’ll let me edit those too but nothing happens when they are pressed.
Overall it’s an okay app. I’d rate 5 ★ if all functions worked properly.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your review!

We agree, there will be another update very very soon and will fix!

Submitted a fix– stay tuned for 5.0.8

### 4/5 — Good but missing a few things

*2020-07-29*

Includes a great variety of lab values.

I do wish it included mean platelet volume as well as more rare labs

**Developer response:** Thank you! New version coming soon..

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-05-20, version 5.0.3*

How do I cancel my subscription? How do I contact the seller. I have tried every possible way to cancel but to no avail.

### 2/5 — Incorrect

*2019-12-30, version 5.0.3*

Mostly a good app, though there is some incorrect information, including incorrect reference ranges... makes me wonder what else could be wrong.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Dishonest devs

*2026-06-06, version 6.0.3*

Paid for the app full version and an update made it subscription only. No response from support.

### 1/5 — Cheap move

*2025-10-08, version 6.0.3*

Paid for the app before Covid, now the developers want me to subscribe. Forget it - cheap move.

### 1/5 — BOUGHT the original, now paywalled

*2025-03-17, version 6.0.3*

I bought this app YEARS ago. I have recommended it to MULTIPLE people… which I now regret doing, as the devs have put EVERYTHING behind a paywall. Money-grubbing thieves.

### 1/5 — None of the tests open

*2025-02-19, version 6.0.3*

I can type in the name if a lab test but if I see one I want and try to tap it the test won't open up to show any information. iPhone SE 2nd gen.

### 1/5 — Fraud!!!

*2024-12-31*

Same as everyone else has said. I originally paid for an app that had all the information I needed such as descriptions of lab tests and indications of abnormal results. Now they are trying to charge me $3 a month for the same information for which I already paid!!

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2024-12-29*

I paid years ago for full access to all features in this app including details about every lab test. Suddenly only normal values are shown but no explanations or detail details are available. When I tap on the details for a test, it’s asking for a subscription. This is bait and switch and is in violation of Apple’s terms of service. Pleased report the developer as I intend to.

### 1/5 — LabGear

*2024-12-27*

It is very good tool for health professionals

### 1/5 — Removed Once-Available Features

*2024-05-07*

App once had lab descriptions available for viewing. These have since been placed behind a subscription-based paywall (despite the fact that I originally paid for the app when I first installed it). This sort of conduct by developers should be unacceptable.

That said, the overall progression of apps on the App Store to subscription models over the years also serves as an indictment of the anti-developer and anti-consumer business practices by Apple as they extract exorbitant fees from app sales.

### 1/5 — Waste

*2024-02-17*

Paid for the app, then had all the information that was once useful only accessible for an additional subscription fee. No warning or notification

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2023-12-15, version 6.0.2*

I purchased this app it work when I first purchased now it does not work and I am not able to connect with customer service.

### 5/5 — Best Lab App

*2017-08-08, version 3.0.10*

Very helpful and well organized,
Easy to find information, Love using this App

### 5/5 — Extremely useful

*2017-06-10, version 3.0.10*

While constantly being warned by doctors to be wary of "Dr.Google" when checking on symptoms and possible diagnoses, this app is a simple but conservative approach to understanding what to ask when we start to get complicated raw data.
Though still dangerous in the hands of the non-medical patient...particularly the hypochondriac-types...it's an intelligently laid out array of very useful information that makes sense... I guess. to begin to understand all the gibberish the medical community has been fussing over.

### 5/5 — Great resource!!

*2017-03-28*

Worked well for me so far. Haven't had any issues. Very handy!

### 5/5 — Love it.

I don't know what to say.. Very very helpful and useful and beautiful and assume!!! I am hoping that they keep updating if there is more information..

**Developer response:** Wow, Thank you! We're planning a new version for this year, would love your feedback.
