Explore, recognize then figure out the best plan to utilize your team’s strengths, resources and minimize your weaknesses. Having a little trouble with utilizing the helpful cheats from Sylvan but nothing big enough to warrant not appreciating the pure nostalgia that we oldschool rpg game players love. Good job!!! 😎 P.S. As I’ve advanced into the game, several times I’ve lost all of my progress due to glitches of the game freezing and then having to start all over from the previous session again. I’m talking after a 30 minute to an hour of playing and finding new exotic gear and such. That really puts a damper on the playability while trying to get deeper in the dungeon. I had to take a star away for that due to that frustration. That needs to be fixed. Similar to classic games of this genre, the system is designed so that if your current max HP or MP is already higher than what's considered appropriate for your level, the growth may appear reduced temporarily. This is especially common just after a class change. Once your level catches up to match your current HP or MP, the increase will return to normal. I played Wizardry as a child on an Apple II+ PC back in the 1980s. Your game brings back all the simple joy I had back then of dungeon delving. But even better that I only have to handle four adventures in my roster now rather than the original six. It was a great choice to keep the numerous encounters from being too complex. Really nice to have an option to get help as well! ### 5/5 — 昔懐かし3Dダンジョン☆ *2025-01-30* ウィズライクで硬派なダンジョンもの。 街マップまで3Dなので、最初は面倒かなと思ったけど、慣れるとマップを埋めるのがどんどん楽しくなる。ショートカットがあちこちに仕込まれていて、移動も苦ではない。 パーティは4人。おそらく一通り魔法を覚えるころに全員上級職に転職するのが王道かな？上級職でも育成はそれほど大変ではない。レアアイテムの中には、基本職しか装備できないものもあるので、お好みかも。 戦闘はなかなかハード。状態異常や強力魔法、ブレス攻撃、一発死のクリティカルありで、潜れば潜るほど緊張感ある敵と出会える。ただ、死んでもセーブ時点に戻されるだけだし、救済措置も色々とある。そこは今風でかなり優しい。 一応、ひと通り最後まで行ったはずだけど、鍵がひとつ余ってるのは…？レアアイテムはかなりレアみたいなので、図鑑を埋める楽しみもあり。 ### 5/5 — Wizardry Reimagined! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ *2025-01-02* What an amazing game! Like the OG Wizardry games, you explore a dungeon. The game mechanics are great! The dungeon layout has a lot of intricacies and surprises. The auto-mapping is genius! with every detail, you see how much love and attention the developer(s) put in, to create this awesome game! there are many intricate features hidden, and get revealed when you descent deeper into the labyrinth… endless fun!❤️ Once all levels are explored, there is the desire for more - I hope more levels, or a part II will become available soon! Gambatte! Very small nits: I wish there was more storage space and easier mechanics to swap/give items or move them in/out of containers. Maybe dropped items could stay around. Sadly, must leave a one star review as it doesn’t work and other reviews indicate that the developer has known of this since February, 2024. I’m writing this October 26, 2025. So far, the combat mechanics seem balanced. Wishing I had more gold at the start, but that’s pretty normal at the start of any RPG. There is no morality alignment or character race so it is more simple in that regard. I personally think that makes it play better for a mobile app. There is also passive skills which can be purchased that improve every character class. Thieves and Ninjas can also identify items as well as the Sage, which makes party forming more flexible. The game is 100% free and aside from the ad marquis at the bottom of the screen the ads are optional in exchange for boosting your team. There is more that I’m leaving out. Challenging but fair, a delight to explore, with tons of content (cool items to discover, oodles of enemy variety, nice puzzles, well-built classes, awesome boss encounters). Dig the charming graphics and music, too. Can’t recommend this enough for anyone looking for a pure Wizardry-like DRPG experience that’s accessible but doesn’t hold your hand too much. Absolutely bonkers that this is free to play, with ads running only when a “cheat” is invoked. Clearly a labor of love from a very talented creator. I’m in the post-game dungeon now and fighting it out with the final bosses, who are truly not to be trifled with.
