Lachlan is a small, deeply opinionated padlock who blocks your most distracting apps on a schedule you set, and then makes you explain yourself before he lets you back in. WHY THIS WORKS WHEN NOTHING ELSE HAS Most blockers are a wall you learn to climb in about three seconds. I didn’t think some interactive lock would make a difference in my screen time, but it genuinely did and in the right way. The varying level of difficulties is the type of feature that stops app usage in select scenarios. If I give a BS excuse it won’t unlock, however if I give a legit reason it will. The magic is that you’ll never type out all that if it’s just your boredom compelling you to scroll.
