I really want to experience this game, but there will be a flashback problem when I open it with iPad 6. I hope this problem can be modified. Can’t get past a certain point *2023-06-14* This is a great game. However. It crashes at ‘the briefing’ where you have to examine evidence on a pin board in your office. All of the evidence is so close together you can’t make out each one. Then the game crashes and you can’t move. At the moment I have paid £5 for a game I can’t complete and I’m not very happy. We apologize for the inconvenience. ### 2/5 — Investigation mode bug *2023-05-31* Similar to other review, there is a bug in the Moore sequence where once you investigate the pin board the controls are lost. Even submitting the sheet doesn’t restore them. Overall, the controls and mechanics are awkward for mobile - the targets are small and the joystick huge so that your thumb obscures a good portion of the screen. The game is largely conversion based so you will spend most of it walking back and forth talking to NPCs to collect evidence and select conclusions. Too few opportunities to use some of the more creative interactions like investigation mode. The noir mood is really cool, love the musings to reveal the players inner thoughts. Lots of potential, just needs work to make it suitable for mobile. ### 3/5 — Getting stuck after using investigation mode *2023-05-16* After using the investigation mode, game glitches and I can no longer move around. It costs six bucks and the display is scrunched up in the center of even my old iPhone. No way to fix it or zoom in. This is an amazing game with gorgeous pixel art. An interesting whodunnit with a good story to boot. So if that’s remotely your thing—give this game a try, you’ll really enjoy it. ### 5/5 — Amazing Game *2023-10-25* Great art, great voice acting, great story! Worked perfectly fine on my iPad Air and felt like I was using an in-game device when reading email, news, or sheets. Sorry but you’ve got to be a moron to download this on your phone (who plays games like this on a phone???), and contact developers if you have issues with your device rather than leaving a review, it’s not difficult. I love the story, the graphics, the incredible visuals and sheer size of the game. An Incredibly immersive experience and decisions towards the end that actually make a difference, you also have to read and decipher information to fill in sheets to progress. This reminds me of the wadget eye games which I adore, the only thing I would add is perhaps more interactivity for example there is a keypad that could have been used more and more sheets to fill in but these are minor gripes as this game is fantastic and worth every penny. I did hit a glitch 3/4 the way through with a pinboard with multiple items to view but with perseverance I managed to pass this. Just make sure your only covering 1 item on the pinboard at a time as you walk towards it. Thank you to these wonderful devs for giving me so much joy. I will definitely replay for the different choices and missed evidence. 😃 ### 5/5 — Great game, no issues for me *2023-05-15* I haven’t finished it yet, but I felt compelled to write a review upon seeing another reviewer give this incredible game just one star because they’re having some technical issue.. I would hope that when people have these types of issues they attempt to resolve them with the developer first. I have had no issues with the game at all, I’m playing on an older iPad Pro. The story is captivating and engaging and I had trouble putting it down to go to sleep. I love the old school graphics, and the main character narration. I’m excited to continue playing and see where the story goes! This game should not be crashing on a (2 year old iPad) If I can play Divinity Original Sin 2, XCOM 2, Total War Medieval 2, Civilization 6 (without crashing) no reason… this *smaller in scale* game should be crashing. I can now resume the game ### 3/5 — Cool game, plagued by bugs *2024-07-08* This game is really well done and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Unfortunately it verges on unplayable with the amount it freezes. This honestly wouldn’t be a huge deal except that you can’t save so you lose some of your progress when it freezes. It’s frustrating to have to go back and repeat the same scenes. Most freezes happen after using the “investigate” button so that’s clearly an issue.
