## What is Lacus?

Have access to hundreds of licensed taxi cabs (yellow and green) and for-hire vehicles, throughout the United States (Now available in NYC only)

Key benefits:
 - No more lines and dispatchers
 - A vehicle parked a few steps from you
 - Get paid and pay for the rental right from the app
 - Know your expenses, such as rental fees, tickets, tollways and much more

1. Locate a vehicle for work
Choose an available taxi or for-hire vehicle near you, licensed and regulated accordingly with your state.  Filter by vehicle type, engine type and distance from you

2. Reserve a vehicle
Taxicabs can be rented on either Flat or Flex lease option
Out of Boro Taxis & for-hire vehicles can be rented on a weekly basis

3. Pending reservation
You have 30 minutes to start your rental.

4. Active rental
In an active rental mode, you are able to lock/unlock the doors, monitor remaining time of your rental, as well as view detailed report of expenses and earnings.

5. Rental History
Overview your rental history and see full expense and profit report.

6. Balance
Overview your balance, see active rental and pending credits.
Switch to transactions and see all transfers associated with your account.
Tollways and expense pages provide detailed information associated with your account.

7. Payments
Add a credit/debit card to a payment method, use it for your rentals (taxicabs are allowed to pay at the end of the rental period).  Add a bank account to withdraw funds.

8. Trips (only for taxis)
Detailed trip reports that include an entire breakdown of earnings, expenses and much more

Lacus is out there for almost 2 years now, and it always has something new to offer. Much easier than going to the office + lot of nice perks

It’s a pretty good and easy company to use. Except that their cars are super dirty, and every code on the dashboard is on. From the check engine light to tire pressure, and I mean literally every code( light) on every car will be on. Other than that, good experience.

Scammers they charged me $57 for 2 shifts I’ve drivin 121 miles on them! Even though I filled the tank before returning the car they showed up fake receipts maybe not for the cab I drove and said it’s fuel overage. 121 miles then $12 each gallon.

Not great experience. I only did one shift to check it out. I was robbed for gas money. I picked up a car with 83% gas according to the app and returned it the same way. I was charged $8 dollars for gas and $8 service charge that wasn’t mentioned anywhere. To get the payout is also a hassle. They r holding $100 deposit for a month that I also wasn’t aware of. I wouldn’t recommend using this app to anyone. Also for someone who doesn’t live in Manhattan Queens or Brooklyn catching a car from home at a decent time is close to impossible. They don’t show let’s say that the car is gonna available in an hour let’s say so u can get there in time 👎

Been driving with this company for 1 year with no issues, and all of a sudden they decide to take extra (after lease, tolls, surcharges, other taxes, etc.) money from my account without any explanation, if I ask for a receipt they’ll say they don’t have one which is a violation of TLC rules. If I ask why they took extra money from me they’ll say a customer disputed a transaction, and yet when I call their credit card company they say no such thing happened. So I call Lacus back and ask them to provide me with the trip numbers of the disputed transactions and they’ll say “we don’t have that right now.” Then they ask you to come to the office, but I didn’t even bother because I’ve already asked other drivers what happens if you do that, and they say they still don’t get their money back. If you currently drive for this company report them to the TLC and change to a different company as soon as possible. If you don’t drive for this company, then keep it that way.
