## What is Lag?

Voice chat that keeps up with you - not the other way around.

Lag is ultra-low-latency voice built for people who actually care about quality. Create a server, invite your squad, and jump into voice rooms instantly. No invite links, no waiting rooms, no friction. Just open it and talk.

FAST. CLEAR. RELIABLE.
- Under 50ms latency. Your voice arrives before you finish thinking.
- 99.2% packet recovery. Dropped audio gets rebuilt on the fly.
- Less than 1% CPU usage. Your phone stays cool, your battery stays full.
- Opus 48kHz audio. Studio-quality codec, optimized for voice.

YOUR SPACE, YOUR RULES
- Create servers for your squad, your community, or just your close friends.
- Spin up voice rooms and text channels in seconds.
- Invite with a single link. No account required to peek.
- Server owners get full control - roles, permissions, room management.

DIRECT MESSAGES
- Message friends directly with real-time delivery.
- No read receipts, no pressure. Respond when you want.

NOT A SOCIAL NETWORK
- No feeds. No stories. No friend suggestions. No algorithmic noise.
- Lag does one thing and does it well: lets you talk to your people.
- No ads. No tracking. No selling your data. Ever.

BUILT DIFFERENT
- Free. Not "free tier" free. Actually free. No paywalls, no premium upsells.
- Built by a small team that got tired of bloated voice apps.
- Community-funded, not VC-funded. We answer to users, not investors.

Whether you're gaming, studying, hanging out, or just vibing with friends - Lag gives you a space to talk without all the noise.
