First was told my location couldn’t be found despite entering the location codes right on the meter. Then Got errors. I use other parking apps all over the US. I know how they’re supposed to work. Ended up using a credit card to park. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-08-03* Awful app, tried on my phone and my wife’s, couldn’t get it to load on either ### 1/5 — Yikes *2026-07-27* Downloaded the app to pay for parking in Laguna Beach and was able to create an account, but then I tried adding a vehicle to it in the app and it just showed me an error message. I then tried paying for a meter and it worked. But it actually showed me two instances of the same transaction now! I checked my bank account, and it only charged me once, thank god. And when I clicked on one of the two instances it displayed my license plate number that I added earlier, but had shown me an error for…okaay? Later tried to extend my meter via the app, but it just show me an error message, which made this app quite useless. The meters themselves actually don’t reflect any transactions you do with the app, which just shows me that the city of Laguna Beach doesn’t have it together and can’t figure out how to transition into the 21st-century with technology. LA figured it out, so why can’t Laguna Beach do it? I’m giving the app one star because I was only able to pay for my parking, and because the amount of error messages and the inability to extend your parking is just flat out idiotic. ### 1/5 — Still got a ticket *2026-07-22* Paid through the app immediately after parking, got the charge on my card, and STILL got a ticket 30 minutes later. Takes your money instantly but fails to protect you from getting ticketed. It shows real time parking availablity, and even shows the free trolleys and how many minutes they are from picking you up. ### 4/5 — Not that bad *2022-02-20* Looking at the version history, I’m guessing things have improved since the earlier reviews as I used this app for the first time just now. The reason for 4 stars is the lack of intuitive design. It’s not clear that you must have an account to pay. The opening screen implies you can pay as a guest, but all that allows you to do is search for a spot. The sign up process is not too onerous once you twig what’s going on. My other suggestion would be to make it easier to clear the spot selection and start over. I felt I had to kill the app to do that. The option on the map didn’t do that for me.
