A pain with the apps that rarely update on the clock. The app itself loses connection. Irritating to keep this thing running with my youtube sub count on. You press on the app, a delete dialog pops up, but disappears when you stop pressing on the app you want to delete. So did a complete reset on the unit, downloaded the app again onto my iPhone - now won’t even register or allow me to log into the unit. ??? ### 4/5 — RFE: Specifying NTP Server *2020-06-16, version 2.6.0* I love my LaMetric Time! I have a Request for Enhancement. Could you please add the option to specify your own NTP Server? Some ISPs block a continuing connection to an NTP time port. My LaMetric Time always gets out of sync after a few days and the only way to fix it, is to reboot it. I purchased a LAN NTP time server than has a GPS antenna to stay updated. ALL other devices in my home are told to get NTP time from it, but the LaMetric Time won’t let me specify my own address. This is a really simple request. I hate having clocks in the house that show the wrong time. Can you fix this issue, please? ### 1/5 — V2.5.8 broke Date Ticker *2020-04-07, version 2.5.8* This latest update, which was supposed to be bugfixes only, broke the Date Ticker. It doesn’t track the previously set date, and when trying to fix the date ticker, it’s not possible to open the “Date to track” setting to choose the date. Unfortunately the Date Ticker is one of the main reasons I use this, so I’m pretty disappointed for allowing the update. ### 1/5 — Not an internet clock *2019-06-04, version 2.1.8* Update, even poorer now, needs ios 10, won't work anymore. Seriously??, it's only an alarm clock, now it's a broken one. Do not ever buy. Would have thought being connected to the internet would allow you to set alarms remotely, no only works connected on exactly the same WiFi network. Seems a bit pointless if you practically have to be in the room with it? ### 4/5 — Little expensive *2019-03-16, version 2.3.2* Please add option to slow down the speed of text scroll so I give 4 stars. If you add that option I will give 5 stars. Everything else is awesome just the price is little more. I purchased this clock today and it advertised with seconds, the guide the photos... everything shows seconds but the toggle doesn’t even exist? ### 1/5 — Worked once *2019-01-20, version 2.3.2* Essentially this has become a glorified alarm clock that I have to control by my phone. The radio does not work alone or as an alarm. The support function on the app instructs me to setup an email, despite the fact it is there displayed in the app. There is no way to get in touch with any support! I have deleted and reinstalled many times, but have now given up. Beeping alarm it is from now on. I would like to set the scheduled auto scrolling mode and enable the blank screens at night screen saver. ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2018-08-19, version 2.2.2* I purchased a LaMetric App Clock during their Father's Day sale. The clock was delivered without the stock app's "more than 10 stocks" feature that was promised in the advertisements. I did some research and found that a prior customer requested those features to be added two years ago. LaMetric had responded that it would be done soon. I took a screenshot of that conversation on their support forum for my records. Also, they have poor customer service. When I asked for a refund, they did not respond until many weeks later. At that point, they informed me they had now added the missing feature they stated they already had in the beginning. I bought this item for the feature that it did not come with. If I could return the clock I would. It never gets new features, the app still hadn’t adopted the Plus/Max resolution dynamic after so many years… Software updates for the actual alarm clock are far and few in between.
