## What is LamiPal?

LamiPal makes laminitis management simpler for horse owners who want clear, practical guidance without complicated charts or confusing tools.

Built around simplicity, LamiPal provides easy-to-read daily risk readings, safer AM and PM turnout windows, and a 3-day forecast, helping you understand changing conditions at a glance.

Unlike tools based primarily on weather data, LamiPal considers four key areas: your horse’s health and individual risk factors, local weather, current paddock conditions, and day-to-day paddock management. Its risk engine is informed by relevant laminitis and pasture-risk research, combining these variables to provide guidance tailored to the horse and paddock you are managing.

Create profiles for one horse or several, including details such as previous laminitis, EMS, PPID/Cushing’s, obesity, and sensitivity level. You can also create profiles for each paddock and record factors including grass coverage, fertilisation, and whether the paddock has been rested.

Daily paddock-management choices can also be included, such as whether your horse is wearing a grazing muzzle, grazing on a strip, or has been given hay before or during turnout. I really like the idea behind this app. It makes tracking turnout times and keeping an eye on laminitis risks much simpler. The interface is clean, and the latest UI updates have made it smoother to use. It’s a great addition to any horse owner's toolkit. Don’t see what the yes tick box is for underneath grass type. If you click it the risk shoots up. Have tried to contact but email doesn’t work

Sorry about the delay in response.

The app has now been overhauled to provide you with a more simple way of showing risk, whilst removing the grass type indicator to maintain simplicity.

There is now a more detailed risk calculation engine working with much more data inputs which also consider your horse's conditions (if any) to provide you with a much more robust score.

Just bought this app but unfortunately it definitely does not work as you’d hope. It gives you a score for laminitis risk, then if you untick some boxes such as ‘grass length’ then tick them again - the score changes?! One minute it says 62, then 74 then 86?! Which is it! Definitely don’t waste your money. Refund requested!

The app has now had a major overhaul which includes a much more robust scoring mechanism which utilises a greater amount of data inputs to provide you with a clear score which you can now rely on.

App is good for keeping track of laminitis risk. Other useful information included. App developer is open to suggestions on how to improve the app further. Has already provided an update to search for and change geographical locations. Shows promise. Would recommend.

The app does not explain the rating and the pollen indicators do not work.  This looks like it could be a good app but possible not yet finished - should not be sold until it provides the described content
