## What is LamiPal?

LamiPal makes laminitis management simpler for horse owners who want clear, practical guidance without complicated charts or confusing tools.

Built around simplicity, LamiPal provides easy-to-read daily risk readings, safer AM and PM turnout windows, and a 3-day forecast, helping you understand changing conditions at a glance.

Unlike tools based primarily on weather data, LamiPal considers four key areas: your horse’s health and individual risk factors, local weather, current paddock conditions, and day-to-day paddock management. Its risk engine is informed by relevant laminitis and pasture-risk research, combining these variables to provide guidance tailored to the horse and paddock you are managing.

Create profiles for one horse or several, including details such as previous laminitis, EMS, PPID/Cushing’s, obesity, and sensitivity level. You can also create profiles for each paddock and record factors including grass coverage, fertilisation, and whether the paddock has been rested.

Daily paddock-management choices can also be included, such as whether your horse is wearing a grazing muzzle, grazing on a strip, or has been given hay before or during turnout. These details are built directly into the risk tracker, helping LamiPal provide guidance that is more relevant to your horse’s circumstances.

With GPS-based location readings, LamiPal focuses on conditions around your own yard instead of relying solely on generic forecasts.

Key Features:
Simple daily laminitis risk reading
AM and PM turnout-window guidance
3-day risk forecast
Horse-specific health and risk profiles
Paddock-specific condition profiles
Daily paddock-management variables
Multiple horse and paddock profiles
GPS-based yard location readings
Risk engine informed by relevant research
Clear explanations without feature-heavy complexity

LamiPal is designed to support calmer, clearer turnout decisions by bringing horse health, weather, paddock conditions, and paddock management together in one place.

LamiPal does not replace professional veterinary advice. Always contact your vet or farrier if you are concerned about laminitis or your horse’s health.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!!

Have recently started to use the app for my laminitic boy and am absolutely loving it so far. I’m able to keep an eye on everything all in one place! Would highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-10-07*

Fantastic wee app . Very informative. A quick set up of about 3 mins and it’s good to go . Great interface with an easy to understand scale .

**Developer response:** Hey,

If you need anything then please reach out.

All the best,

### 5/5 — Must have tool for laminitics

*2026-10-04*

This is a great tool for anyone who has a horse at risk of laminitis and wants help knowing when it’s safe to let them graze. It’s really helped me understand what effects the sugar levels in grass, but because it’s tailored to my horse’s specific needs and the paddock she grazes in, it more accurately forecasts the risk. It’s great to have something that reminds me when it’s safe to let her out, so I can make more informed decisions.
The latest version is far better and easier to set up with even more useful features. I would highly recommend it.

**Developer response:** Hey,

Really appreciate you taking the time to drop a review and so glad that you find LamiPal useful for you!

Anything you need then don’t hesitate to reach out.

All the best,
Corri

### 5/5 — Very handy app!

*2026-06-23*

I really like the idea behind this app. It makes tracking turnout times and keeping an eye on laminitis risks much simpler. The interface is clean, and the latest UI updates have made it smoother to use. It’s a great addition to any horse owner's toolkit. Looking forward to seeing even more features added in future updates!

**Developer response:** Hey,

Thanks for taking the time to review!

Glad you’re appreciating the recent updates and finding the app useful. More updates are on the way to support you more with your turnout decisions!

All the best,
Corri

### 2/5 — Tick box

*2026-02-02*

Don’t see what the yes tick box is for underneath grass type. If you click it the risk shoots up. Have tried to contact but email doesn’t work

**Developer response:** Hi Eliza,

Sorry about the delay in response.

The app has now been overhauled to provide you with a more simple way of showing risk, whilst removing the grass type indicator to maintain simplicity.

There is now a more detailed risk calculation engine working with much more data inputs which also consider your horse's conditions (if any) to provide you with a much more robust score.

Many thanks,
Corri

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t recommend…

*2025-11-26*

Just bought this app but unfortunately it definitely does not work as you’d hope. It gives you a score for laminitis risk, then if you untick some boxes such as ‘grass length’ then tick them again - the score changes?! One minute it says 62, then 74 then 86?! Which is it! Definitely don’t waste your money. Refund requested!

**Developer response:** Hey,

Firstly, apologies about the delay in response and the poor scoring mechanism.

The app has now had a major overhaul which includes a much more robust scoring mechanism which utilises a greater amount of data inputs to provide you with a clear score which you can now rely on.

If you're interested in utilising the app then don't hesitate to get in touch at corri.jones@hamiltontechnologies.co.uk and I'll provide lifetime access. This includes access to all future updates.

Many thanks,
Corri

### 4/5 — Good app!

*2025-06-21*

App is good for keeping track of laminitis risk. Other useful information included. App developer is open to suggestions on how to improve the app further. Has already provided an update to search for and change geographical locations. Shows promise. Would recommend.

**Developer response:** Hi Danielle,

Appreciate you taking time to drop a review. Let me know if you have any other suggestions and I’ll see what I can do.

### 1/5 — More to come?

*2025-02-15*

The app does not explain the rating and the pollen indicators do not work. This looks like it could be a good app but possible not yet finished - should not be sold until it provides the described content

**Developer response:** Hey,

Thanks for taking the time to review and apologies about the delay in response. I’ve just released an update that fixes the pollen tracker, alongside addition of a risk text box which advises if laminitis risk is low, medium or high. Appreciate that the app needed a fix, therefore please reach out to me on the email below so I can offer a refund for the inconvenience: corri.jones@hamiltontechnologies.co.uk
