But too much blah-bla-blah! Staying in one place and asking or speaking 4 stars only for it. Nice design and music. Wish a bit more locations. It’s possible to stuck when you ask or say something wrong. Thank you for game! ### 2/5 — Missed the mark *2022-06-16* I appreciate what they are trying to do, but I think this game misses its mark and gets bogged down in tedium. I love old style point and click adventure games, but this one has WAAAAY too much dialogue, and WAAAAY too many pointless hotspots that lead to more pointless dialogue. I also wish there was more of an inventory element. I had to put it down after a little while. ### 3/5 — A bit different from other point & click adventure. *2021-11-25* The majority of the player input in this game is in choosing dialog options. You do pick up and use items, but you don’t really have a traditional inventory menu, or choose which items to use and when. For example, you may find a locked door, and later find the key, but to use the key you’ll just click the door again after getting the key. There aren’t many puzzles to solve, so it’s mostly dialog, and finding the clues to lead you to the right suspect. It is possible to accuse the wrong person and have them arrested, but with enough investigation it becomes clear who the right suspect is. The story was okay, but the gameplay left me feeling more like I had watched it than played it. ### 2/5 — Glitch in game *2021-06-28* I loved this game until the last part (5) where it wouldn’t let me access the fire to translate the piece of paper. So frustrating! Tried restarting but still didn’t work. ### 2/5 — So slow.. *2021-05-17* I love detective games, but this one was just too slow for me. I really tried to like it (since I paid $5 on it)... but the settings and characters are so plain and boring. ### 4/5 — Grew on Me *2021-05-12* Didn’t like it at first as there’s a TON of dialogue (twice as much as Thimbleweed Park or WOAM), and you can’t pause it, so if you have someone talking to you in your home, it'll cause issues… Not too much gameplay, but where it differs, and where it grew on me, is that you really can pick which suspect to accuse and get it both wrong and right, as well as how to approach certain conversations, and that does change the game. Yeah, I’d recommend it. ### 2/5 — Missed opportunity. *2021-02-08, version 1.2.1* What is the point of point & click if all the puzzles are removed. I don't want to read endless script. If you’re going to be like Lucas Arts then be like Lucas Arts!! Stop taking the fun out of point & click. ### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing *2020-12-28, version 1.2.1* Is this by the same guys as my favourite game series “ Blackwell” as it definitely feels similar. To those that think it is just a series of conversation without any user input they are wrong and probably haven’t finished each investigation correctly. I also thought this until I realised I’d actually got it wrong and replayed the game this time to each right conclusion which was sooo good! These developers deserve so much praise for their originality and brilliant story telling. Thank you for another gem. ### 2/5 — Boring and no actual game, just talking *2020-11-24, version 1.2.1* This game isn’t really a game. All you do is walk around from location to location and talk to people – quite literally. You don’t even have an inventory! Once you have spoken to the appropriate people, a new location might open up and you can speak to some more people who then lead you to speak to more people and so on. The voice of your partner plays over every single scene and to any action you take and is extremely irritating as well. Very disappointed in this game especially since Shardlight is one of my favourite games ever and by the same developer. ### 5/5 — Great point and click mystery *2020-11-22* Love it! Lots of objects/rooms to explore, witty dialogue, interesting mystery. This is my favorite type of game, but unfortunately I haven’t come across too many games like it in the App Store. I recommend this to anyone that likes story-driven adventure games without complicated puzzles to solve. Also there are days worth of gameplay, which I appreciated :) ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Decent p&c, infected with wokeness *2026-01-01* The scenes , voice acting, and pixel art are quite beautiful. As a point and click it’s just okay, you really don’t use items to solve puzzles, it’s all dialog. The major problem is the writing is woke, and when we see it in our culture, we need to downvote it. If “ culture” has any hope of becoming “art” it has to say something true about the human experience… “woke” is a lie in the service of social engineering. If you’re lying, you can’t say anything true. (This is why there is no longer any good movies / tv shows / games) Luckily we’re rounding a corner as a society and this nonsense isn’t nearly as prevalent, but we should salt the earth where we see it. ### 1/5 — Tedious & long winded *2023-01-08* The atmosphere and setting are great…unfortunately the game consists simply of long winded conversations that have little bearing on the plot. There really is not any problem solving, just moving from irrelevant conversation to irrelevant conversation. Only about 20% of the dislogue is useful and of that, only about another 20% is interesting. Unfortunate as I’m a big fan of other games by the makers and folks involved in producing it. Was hoping for a steam punk Gabriel Knight…unfortunately got little more than a meandering script for a bad WB pilot… ### 1/5 — Exhausting, yet boring *2022-04-29* I played this for maybe 30 minutes and found all of the social justice stuff to be exhausting. Perhaps that’s appealing to some, but many of us play games to escape reality. This game was just rapid fire, one talking point after another, rinse and repeat. Loved the other games by this developer but the preaching in this one was too painful to continue. Also, more importantly, it was really boring - just a bunch of talking. Deleted already and totally regret paying for it. Lastly, this one shouldn’t be listed as 12+. Many of the mature themes are wholly inappropriate for tweens/younger teens. ### 1/5 — Download nicht möglich *2022-03-17* Ich kann das Spiel nicht auf meinem Handy laden… was ist da los? **Developer response:** Da können wir als Entwickler nicht helfen. Frustrating because I was really enjoying it up until then. Would not recommend purchasing this game until it gets updated. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear that. I hope we can fix this problem together. ### 1/5 — Keine deutsche Sprachausgabe!!? *2021-01-31* Das Spiel unterstützt nur deutsche Untertitel, aber die Sprachausgabe bleibt trotzdem in Englisch! Ärgerlich ist, dass dies vor den Kauf nicht aus der Beschreibung hier im AppStore klar hervorgeht. Da andere, vergleichbare Adventuretitel halten, was sie versprechen und natürlich auch eine echte deutsche Sprachausgabe hinkriegen, finde ich das hier eine sehr schwache Vorstellung. There is so much talking and hardly any playing, plus the graphics are terrible. It feels like a kids game except it’s SO BORING. I wish I could get my money back. **Developer response:** It's a shame you didn't like it. In case you didn't know: The store actually allows you to return it. Graphics are low res retro style. Gameplay is a detective game. So you interview suspects and collect clues. Der Ablauf ist nicht statisch, je nach Antworten ändert sich der Spielverlauf deutlich. Es gibt verschiedene Enden. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So glad I finally tried it! *2024-02-24* I love point & click adventure games and I’d held off on this one because the reviews stated it was very much about going from scene to scene and talking to people/exhausting dialogues to crack cases. Although it was true in the sense you don’t have an inventory and it is mostly talking however it pulls you in quickly & you’re immersed in these cases that you are trying to solve. You have to do things correctly to solve the case as well so there is still some strategy involved. Loved it! Very well done & I thoroughly enjoyed the bonus content at the end too.
