### 2/5 — TPMS wrong

*2026-09-05, version 4.3.2*

App shows tyre pressure low (TPMS) but car says all ok??
All software and syncs up to date

### 2/5 — Is this the ‘InControl’ app?

*2026-09-02, version 4.3.2*

I can’t work out if this is the app I’m being told to use elsewhere by JLR staff in order to disconnect my car from InControl. Nowhere does this app say it is ‘InControl’. And the title on IOS is ‘remote’.

I find the app irritating because I need to log-in the whole time, and it sends me huge numbers of ‘car unlocked’ notifications when the car is actually locked.

I have a BMW hybrid and their App works much better for my BMW than this app for my Range Rover. Goodness knows how much worse this will get after the latest crop of redundancies!

### 1/5 — What am I paying for?

*2026-08-31, version 4.3.2*

Since the update it says that my car is unlocked every time and that my car is parked 2 streets away. I have uninstalled and re-installed 4 times with no change. For a premium brand it’s a very lacking app!!

### 1/5 — Broken

*2026-08-30, version 4.3.2*

Since last update, have not been able to login using any method (passkey or password). Rubbish quality checks. So do I get a refund for the time this has been unusable?

### 3/5 — Remoto

*2026-08-30, version 4.3.2*

El control remoto tarda mucho en prender el vehículo y en ocaciones no lo prende no hay conexión …..

### 1/5 — App Update Needs Immediate Fix

*2026-08-29, version 4.3.2*

Land Rover Remote iOS 4.3.2 hangs indefinitely after credential submission. My identical credentials authenticate successfully at incontrol.landrover.com, my vehicle and Remote subscription are active, and the problem persists after force-closing, rebooting the iPhone, and deleting and freshly reinstalling the Remote app. Face ID is also not being requested by the reinstalled app.

### 3/5 — Good when it works

*2026-08-29, version 4.3.2*

A

### 3/5 — Poor Response

*2026-08-29, version 4.3.2*

For the money you have to spend for this app you would think the response time would be better. It takes forever for it to load and do anything.

### 1/5 — Remote start

*2026-08-29, version 4.3.2*

Paid for a year program for remote start and it does not work at all. Waste of money.

### 2/5 — New Biometrics Stink

*2026-08-28, version 4.3.2*

Prior to the latest update, the biometrics option loaded immediately. Now it’s significantly delayed slowing down the whole experience. Not a fan.

### 1/5 — Not practical

*2026-08-27, version 4.3.2*

Need face id or password all time it was better with the code only. Part are not able to order here Appointment are not on the app etc.

### 3/5 — Last Update - August 2026

*2026-08-27, version 4.3.2*

Loved the App. But Now can’t even sign in. When put in my login it just hangs. I uninstalled and reinstall two or three times and it still does not make a difference. I like the old app better before this update.

### 2/5 — Support link broken

*2026-08-26, version 4.3.2*

I wanted to log a bug, but the “App Support” link in this web store goes to a “this link is broken” page.

### 1/5 — App

*2026-08-25, version 4.3.2*

Its absolutely horrendous

### 3/5 — App problem

*2026-08-25, version 4.3.2*

Recently I am facing difficulty using this app, I can’t precondition my vehicle. Another problem when parked next to my work place, it shows my home place on app. Today I deleted app, thought might be connection problem and when reinstalled app, now I can’t login again to the app. Please fix the bug or problem.

### 1/5 — Super slow, and Dosent always work

*2026-08-25, version 4.3.2*

This app needs a serious overhaul, it’s soo slow I literally can walk to my car by the time it opens and updates details, so you can remote start the vehicle. App is useless at the very least. Also sucks that you can’t turn on seat heating steering wheel or windscreen heating from the app. Remote climate control sucks, I still have to wait for the windscreen to defrost even after 30 minutes. lol maybe one day they will make the app better then the cheapest car brand out there…. Here’s to patiently waiting for my 250k Range Rover to finally be able to remote start and defrost the windscreen

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-08-24, version 4.3.2*

Just updated and now I can’t even login. So many issue with this app constantly. Can’t even have face unlock work properly so changed to passkey and that has issues too. How difficult is it to have things work these days with all the tech and AI there is to help?

### 2/5 — Cumbersome & Inconsistent

*2026-08-23, version 4.3.0*

There should be a remember me feature so that you do not have to sign in every time you want the convenience features of the app. Also the verification code should be text and not email. The app also needs updates on the climate, unlock feature.

### 1/5 — No longer supports Face ID

*2026-08-23, version 4.3.0*

Biometric login previously worked using Face ID. Enabling Biometrics now initiates WebAuthn/passkey registration. iOS correctly invokes my configured Microsoft Authenticator credential provider, but Remote’s requested passkey is rejected as unsupported. Please confirm whether third-party iOS passkey providers are supported and how I can restore the previous Face ID biometric login.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too difficult to access

*2026-09-04, version 4.3.2*

Takes far too long to get into the app now.

### 1/5 — Horrible update

*2026-09-04, version 4.3.2*

Update to app is horrible siging in u have to click on the sign in button. Previous update was better you detect faceid automatically without having to press the button

### 1/5 — What have you done?

*2026-09-04, version 4.3.2*

Quote; ‘We have enriched your app experience with bug fixes and have implemented several stability improvements.’

No…no you haven’t. You have made it worse. Why oh why do developers make things worse by breaking things that previously worked?

Do you never test the app after updating it? Guess the answer is no…no you don’t.

What was a seamless login procedure by opening the app and using facial recognition to login (well most of the time anyway) has now become a longer, awkward & distracting process where I am prompted by a Sign in with Biometrics nag screen with a drawing of a fingerprint and a face along with a Use Password button before another nag screen opens asking me to sign in with my Passkey that I was forced to setup immediately after the update as the app wouldn’t run until I did!
Then I have no choice but to press Use Passkey before it performs facial recognition and signs me in anyway! 😡

In what parallel universe do developers change the original facial recognition that just worked into a complete mess with extra screens and think “Yeah that will enrich my app experience.” 🤔🙈

*UPDATE* 3rd July
So here we are over a month since you broke a perfectly good app and two updates since (the latest only 3 days ago) and you still haven’t fixed the bugs you introduced despite a slew of 1 and 2 star reviews highlighting the issues.

Just what exactly does your often-trotted out quote; ‘We have enriched your app experience with bug fixes and have implemented several stability improvements.” actually even mean?

And now when I really need remote monitoring of my car as I’m out of the country when the app requests the status of the car it reports ‘Unknown’ so I would have no idea if my car was broken into, moved or driven away.

Gee thanks Land Rover. Seems to me your app will end up with a similar reputation to your cars as far as security & reliability is concerned and you only have yourself to blame. 🙈

*UPDATE* 21st July
So here we are with the third update since your customers have taken the time to report the login/authentication bug and despite yet another update 2 weeks ago you still can’t be bothered to address this oft reported bug you introduced with v4. Do you even read the comments here? We users have been reporting this bug since the beginning of May…

*UPDATE* 12 August
I just updated my review as I was still having the same issue but this time I had to log back in before I was prompted for my Passkey prior to using FaceID. Initially I thought it was getting worse but after being forced to sign in and then choose Passkey before FaceID it now seems to be working as it was before!
Too early to be sure as I only updated a few hours ago but initial signs are good and it does seem quicker than before so thanks very much for that Devs! 👍
**Actually no it still isn’t fixed**

### 1/5 — Shambles

*2026-09-04, version 4.3.2*

Haven’t been able to log into the app for 2 weeks now. It just hangs at the login screen. Clearly zero investment being made into this by Land Rover & whoever they have developing the app isn’t doing any sort of testing. Awful.

### 1/5 — Sleepy vehicle

*2026-09-02, version 4.3.2*

App keeps telling me my Discovery is in sleep mode even after driving for 20 minutes. In other words, it doesn’t work anymore! Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t help.

### 1/5 — Broken stuck before login

*2026-09-02, version 4.3.2*

The app worked fine until a few days ago when no matter what I do, whether I select the biometric or the password login, it just spins and spins and spins forever and never says wrong password. It never says anything. It just keeps spinning until I force quit the app.

### 1/5 — Almost never works

*2026-09-01, version 4.3.2*

Don’t buy a Land Rover. Nothing ever works.

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2026-09-01, version 4.3.2*

Since the latest update I can’t login to my account. Just a spinning wheel. Please test the basics before releasing.
….and fix the broken link to the app support page.

### 1/5 — Unable to log in to App

*2026-08-31, version 4.3.2*

Since the most recent update, I haven’t been able to log in. It just stays on the biometrics/password screen and loads, but nothing happens. I’ve deleted the app, and re-installed a few times, cleared my cache and nothing works.

### 1/5 — Slow and it doesn't work

*2026-08-31, version 4.3.2*

Half of the time I can't log in and eventually just stopped working all together. Land Rover needs to take a class from Tesla on how to make a good car app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Your app is rubbish!

*2026-08-28, version 4.3.2*

Cannot unlock remotely and tyre pressure giving false indication of flat tyre.

### 5/5 — Impressed but could use

*2026-08-22, version 4.3.0*

This is my first Range Rover. I have been a Mopar person for awhile. Having the remote app is wonderful but an electric start option on the key fob was be so appreciated

### 5/5 — Not working today

*2026-08-20, version 4.3.0*

The app isn’t working and jamming

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-08-17, version 4.3.0*

Works great

### 5/5 — Happy now

*2026-08-12, version 4.3.0*

After the last update the app is logging in much faster and everything is working perfectly for me. I never had a problem with the app until the new security was implemented. Now it logs in as fast as it did before the changes. Thanks Land Rover for fixing it.

### 5/5 — Remote review

*2026-08-04, version 4.2.1*

The technology is awesome , absolutely amazing and resignates with a high quality brand .

### 5/5 — Car connect

*2026-07-29, version 4.2.1*

This is probably the most genius thing that’s ever been invented. Not only is pushed to start super smart but so is being able to connect with my car right from my phone. I start my car right from my phone set everything the way I want it depending on the weather for that day. I go upstairs take a shower jump out. Get ready and come out and the car is ready for me to go. Absolutely the best thing ever invented.
Also, it’s a Range Rover….what else can I say. It speaks for itself!

### 5/5 — Great help

*2026-07-27, version 4.2.1*

Fantastic app really useful.

### 5/5 — Very useful addition for Range Rover Evoque

*2026-07-24, version 4.2.1*

I used the app for years on my Discovery Sport. But it was 9 years old when I swapped cars. Therefore, the app was limited. Having used the latest version, on my new car, I am really pleased with the functionality and use of the newer Remote. I use the app quite regularly and have no issues. As the weather has been so extreme lately what a bonus it is.
Automation can sometimes be too much, but not in this case, so I find this is an easy to use app and just adding that bit extra for the owner.
First class and thank you.

### 5/5 — Owner

*2026-07-20, version 4.2.1*

Always works efficiently and accurately informs you of every problem
