I have kept revisiting App Store hoping for an update with loads of bug fixes, like most developers do or when they launch something this bad, withdraw it. LandRover should remove this as the experience is more damaging to the brand. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2024-02-09, version 1.3.1* I have the same issues that most other people seem to have , location of the car . It’s about 2miles away , took the car back to landrover , they can’t fix it either . Deleted it ,2 year old Defender . ### 1/5 — LR 405 Owner *2024-02-06, version 1.3.1* Useless. I previously had the app but deleted it as it always showed my car on a street in London that I once drove along (never even parked there). I thought I would give the app one more try and downloaded it again. Unfortunately my car still looks to be a couple of hundred miles away in London. The vehicle shows in the correct location on the Landrover Remote App. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your life *2023-11-27, version 1.3.1* Don’t waste your life down loading this app. It can’t even recognize where your car is located, let alone set a location and plan a route there. Land Rover need to remove this app to salvage some dignity for their reputation. Would have not rated if possible, 1 star is over egging this atrocious app. ### 1/5 — Useless most of the time. *2023-10-19, version 1.3.1* When planning a journey it nearly always say it can’t creat a route because it can’t get to the car. Most of the time it says may car is somewhere else. I did contact Land Rover to report the problem and they advised me to log into my account on a laptop and try that. ### 1/5 — Route download stopped working *2023-09-06, version 1.3.1* I am completely frustrated. The route creation and download to my vehicle was a nice feature. About 1 year ago the app simply stopped downloading to my vehicle. The web version continues to work as expected. Here Technologies will only deal with Land Rover not customers. Land Rover has been working with Here Technologies but after 12 months still refuses to accept the fact that their app is broken. I have found other reviews stating exactly the same issue but Land Rover/Here continue to treat this issue as an isolated issue somehow specific to my phone. I couldn’t be more disappointed in the customer support by both Here Technologies and Land Rover. They offer a product that simply doesn’t work but really don’t seem to have an interest in resolving the issue. Update, now after 24 months the app still will not download/communicate with my vehicle. Here.com and Land Rover continue to state they are working on a solution. The app still does not work, Land Rover really doesn’t seem to care. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-08-21, version 1.3.1* It might be good if it worked. I guess I’ll never know. Been trying now for 2 months to register an account but the website just fails. Have tried emailing support but no response. Contact developer link on here is no longer valid. I have spoken to my dealer who can’t fix it and reviewing Land Rover forums it seems to be a common problem with no one being able to provide a solution. Have also emailed JLR on several occasions on this with no response absolutely shocking service from JLR ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-04-28, version 1.3.1* This app is supposed to let you plan a route which will then automatically sync to your vehicle. While it will do the former, it hasn’t been able to do the latter for 2 years now in my case. Land Rover state they are aware and “due to technical advances will not be providing a solution or update…you will only be able to sync a route from the main InControl website…” What’s the point of this app then, why hasn’t it been removed from the store and when are we going to get an app that uses these ‘technical advances’…?! ### 1/5 — It had one job and can’t even get that right 🤦‍♂️ *2023-04-06, version 1.3.1* “Couldn't find a route Please check your route preferences and try again.” Reinstalled the app, new phone, makes no difference. Worked for a while when I got the car. Waste of time ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can't login *2026-08-14, version 2.0.1* I used to be able to log into the app all of a sudden I can't even find a place where I can input my username and password. I've had Customer Service specialist in the health center. Try to diagnose the problem. Help me out. They had me call Apple and Apple said there's a third-party app so there's nothing that they could do. Nothing seems to work anymore. I Google and tried suggestions that I found online and still there's no place for me to put my username and password frustrated ### 1/5 — Cannot create account *2026-06-14, version 2.0.1* Have tried registering a new account and all it does is throw me back to the login screen. So I assumed it had sent me an email to confirm the address but nothing, nothing in spam. I was able to log in and get help but I have not needed it until now. I cannot log in it does not recognize my email so I can’t reset my password. I cannot not create a new profile no where does it ask that. And it is like it is grayed out. Often doesn’t calculate the best route and unlike Google etc. doesn’t offer multiple routes. Editing a route is infuriating as you have to add multiple waypoints just to make an efficient route. Remind you—this app is developed by HERE, which used to be part of Nokia… now you know why Nokia vanished in the dust of the past… yup, as where it belongs. First, navigation starts off with walking to the car. Hey, it never finds where my car is. My car is right outside my office building but it wants me to walk 2 miles back home—where it was half a day ago. Then, it doesn’t offer any route options to choose from. Some other reviewers say it does but can’t figure out how to choose one. I was never offered any. Isn’t that the basics of a navigation app? What a failure. Third, it’s supposed to sync the navigation session to my car’s screen. Yes, it did once—but then never worked from then on. Cellular OK. Account OK. Sign-in OK. Subscription OK. Map update OK. Everything is OK. It just simply refuses to work. What a huge pile of manure. Not to mention… GUI is archaic like a coin operated laundromat washer; response is slow as an aging sloth. Loading the addresses straight from my phone to the Land Rover is easy, less typing and saves me time. You need to register in the car first then it will recognize the login. Did the Encore lesson and all is good. It then starts telling me car is parked about a mile away, it’s actually outside my house. Problem was the app in the car had logged me out, no indication I needed to log back in again, so assumed problem was with ‘route planner’.
