### 2/5 — Almost great

*2026-07-17*

Would love to give this a good review, but there's a major bug I've encountered: when you search for a subreddit and click on it, the app crashes.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-07-17*

It looks great, it runs smooth and best of all it doesn’t lock features behind a paywall. I will definitely be supporting this dev. One problem I have noticed though is that videos and gifs currently do not autoplay in the feed and when I click on a video it plays audio even though I have the setting for videos to be muted as default. Hopefully this is something the dev can look into.

Also, please give us the option to disable inbox replies to comments. I know we can turn off notifications and the inbox as a whole on the app but when I log into reddit on my PC my account is flooded with those red comment notifications saying someone has replied. Not a fan of those.

Edit: I’ve used this for about a week now and I cannot find anyway to submit feedback to the dev so I’ll do it here and hope that he sees it.
-Scrolling down from home to search brings up the keyboard so you can start typing straight away, but when you select search from the floating bar at the bottom it doesn’t. So you have to select the search bar before you start typing.
-when I search for a subreddit in the communities tab of search and I select it, the app will often just hard crash.
-The app can sometimes hang randomly. Like I’ll go to a sub and try to scroll down but the feed doesn’t move. It’s not till I go to another page like my profile then back to home does it allow me to start scrolling.
-having a way to have the app automatically open when you open reddit in Safari would be fantastic

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2026-07-07*

I’ve been using this app as a replacement for Narwhal.. which I’ve used forever.. and have been very impressed. The few bugs I’ve encountered have been fixed with quick app updates… so it’s actively being developed. If you’re looking for a replacement for the awful Reddit app, take this one out for a spin. It’s free and runs on donations.

### 2/5 — Want to like it

*2026-07-07*

I really want to like it, but it behaves oddly. For example, it’s difficult to tap on a post in a list without accidentally tapping on the OP’s name (which is also a link to their profile); pulling down to refresh actually invokes the search bar. The first is just annoying while the second attempts to rewrite years of muscle memory and a Reddit client just doesn’t carry enough clout for that.

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2026-07-02*

Everything is working well, lots of customisation possibilities. Best Reddit app I’ve used so far!

### 5/5 — Great alternative to the default app!

*2026-06-28*

It’s come a long way and ready to be your new Reddit client.

### 4/5 — gorgeous

*2026-06-28*

i love it! i only wish i could make the feed full screen like i can do with comments (not a fan of mandatory two column layout). it's visually the most beautiful reddit app (really any social media app) i've ever seen, and as an artist, wow! stunning default colors. sleek and readable, the one thing i mentioned i want is the *only* such thing, tho ofc its day one of using it. really, really nice app!

### 2/5 — Home view not working. Edit: saved posts.

*2026-05-08*

‘Unable to load posts. Please try again.’. Always.

Edit: home view now fixed but have to add that saving posts doesn’t work - no saved posts appear.

### 4/5 — Solid app!

*2026-04-24*

Unfortunately the feature to Hide Read Posts does not work. This is essential for me.

### 5/5 — Beautiful Reddit Viewer

*2026-04-20*

You can see a lot of effort has gone into designing the app. It keeps to Apple’s new UI standards while having its own flair. It’s a little slower at loading compared to Artemis and it needs some changeable app icons but otherwise it’s a great app

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.9 — 2026-07-31

Big fix train — straight from your reports. Thank you!

• Fixed: your home feed showing subreddits you don't follow on cold launch (no refresh needed — it loads YOUR feed the first time, every time)
• Fixed: links opening in external Safari even with "Open Links in App" on — links now respect your settings, and shared reddit links (sh.reddit.com) open right in Lander
• Fixed: crash at launch on iOS 17
• Fixed: videos starting muted even with "Mute Videos by Default" turned off
• Fixed: the first video in your feed never auto-playing until you scrolled away and back
• Fixed: vertical scrolls occasionally dying mid-drag after a swipe gesture
• New: jump-to-next-comment button in posts (most-requested!)
• New: flair picker in the post composer — post to flair-required subreddits without leaving Lander
• New: auto-collapse stickied mod comments (Settings › Comments)
• New on iPad: collapse the sidebar, and Single-Column Layout now applies to every tab for a true full-screen feed
• The "Open in Lander" Safari extension now catches every reddit.com subdomain (enable it in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions)

### 2.1.7 — 2026-07-24

Your feedback, shipped — thank you!

• Save media is back everywhere: download videos, GIFs, and images from the viewer, comments, DMs, and now straight from the feed's long-press menu (Reddit videos save in full quality, with audio)
• Buttery-smooth zooming: panning a zoomed image now uses native scrolling with momentum and rubber-banding — no more choppy drags in galleries
• New: swipe left or right in a post to jump to the next or previous post in your feed (Settings › Gestures to turn it off)
• Under-the-hood security hardening

### 2.1.6 — 2026-07-22

New: open reddit.com links from Safari straight into Lander. Enable the "Open in Lander" extension once in Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions, and links you tap on the web land in the app.

Also in this release:
- Fixed: the first swipes after opening a subreddit sometimes did not register
- Fixed: opening the app from a widget or link could land on Home instead of the right screen, and some links opened twice
- Fixed: confirmation messages were invisible when Settings was opened from the Profile gear
- Fixed: "Reset All Settings" no longer flips frame-rate and Translate settings away from their defaults
- Tidied the Notifications settings screen

### 2.1.5 — 2026-07-19

A small housekeeping release: a refreshed App Store presentation and minor internal cleanups. All the good stuff from 2.1.4 - inline imgur albums, Streamable playback, the smarter galleries - keeps working exactly as before.

### 2.1.4 — 2026-07-19

More fixes straight from your feedback — thank you!

• Fixed: opening Settings could bounce you back to Home
• Galleries now open on the image you were viewing, and the dots keep up past 10
• Share as Image includes the post’s picture, with new options for the post text and top comments
• Light/Dark now switches live — no need to reopen the app
• iPad: new single-column layout option (Settings › Appearance)
• Imgur albums and galleries now open right inside Lander
• Streamable and RedGifs videos play inline instead of bouncing to a browser
• More reliable messages, chat, and modmail
