### 4/5 — Great start with some issues

*2026-09-27*

Great to have a native app that works well. Two issues I found are: scrolling comments is super laggy and the home feed seems to show the same stories after refresh (unlike the website).

### 4/5 — Great but seems to show the same stories

*2026-08-16*

Great but seems to show the same stories over and over again. Also needs an option to hide story images by default.

### 4/5 — gorgeous

*2026-06-28*

i love it! i only wish i could make the feed full screen like i can do with comments (not a fan of mandatory two column layout). it's visually the most beautiful reddit app (really any social media app) i've ever seen, and as an artist, wow! stunning default colors. sleek and readable, the one thing i mentioned i want is the *only* such thing, tho ofc its day one of using it. really, really nice app!

### 4/5 — Solid app!

*2026-04-24*

Unfortunately the feature to Hide Read Posts does not work. This is essential for me.

### 4/5 — Great

*2026-03-16*

Needs some work but with the UI and performance but extremely promising.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stay away. Feels like AI slop, privacy claims don’t make any sense

*2026-09-26*

It’s free and kinda works to scroll through subs a bit. But there are many broken things and their updates are not helping. To name a few: Scrolling is rather unresponsive, the video UX is horrible, stuff can’t be copied from comments, opening search results crashes the app, picture posts above a certain height are being cropped on the top and bottom, links can’t be checked/copied before opening. With each update, new things break. The claims regarding privacy don’t make any sense too. If one signs in with an account, there’s no way to protect against tracking or so.

### 1/5 — Login is broken

*2026-04-19*

Also in 1.9.6

### 1/5 — Kann mich nicht einloggen

*2026-04-19*

Keine Eingabe im Textfeld möglich. Weder Email noch Passwort.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-04-13*

Logging in does not work

### 1/5 — Vibe Coded app - beware

*2026-03-16*

Saw a post online where the dev admits he vibe coded the app using Claude. App is also incredibly buggy. Wouldn’t recommend.

### 2/5 — Feels like AI slop

*2026-08-17*

### 2/5 — Almost great

*2026-07-17*

Would love to give this a good review, but there's a major bug I've encountered: when you search for a subreddit and click on it, the app crashes.

### 2/5 — Want to like it

*2026-07-07*

I really want to like it, but it behaves oddly. For example, it’s difficult to tap on a post in a list without accidentally tapping on the OP’s name (which is also a link to their profile); pulling down to refresh actually invokes the search bar. The first is just annoying while the second attempts to rewrite years of muscle memory and a Reddit client just doesn’t carry enough clout for that.

### 2/5 — Home view not working. Edit: saved posts.

*2026-05-08*

‘Unable to load posts. Please try again.’. Always.

Edit: home view now fixed but have to add that saving posts doesn’t work - no saved posts appear.

### 3/5 — Great Start!

*2026-04-04*

Really great start for a Reddit alternative but I have a few issues with it, for instance the collapse auto moderator setting doesn’t work on my iPad or iPhone. Also, the iPad should have a setting that allows you to have the navigation at the bottom like it is on the iPhone, one something like the iPad Pro having it at the top makes it extremely annoying to reach for.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A very nice Reddit app alternative

*2026-10-08*

Incredibly nice app overall, some random stutters when swiping around, but it’s a really well made and fleshed out with tons of customization!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2026-09-20*

Thanks for working on it and keeping it free.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2026-09-20*

This is way better than the official Reddit app. The customization is deep, including themes, text size, density, spacing, and even comment transitions, so it actually feels like your own app instead of a generic template. Multi-column browsing on iPad is great for reading side by side, and media viewing like galleries, GIFs, and videos is smooth. Managing messages and the mod queue without switching apps is a nice bonus if you moderate anything.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-07-17*

It looks great, it runs smooth and best of all it doesn’t lock features behind a paywall. I will definitely be supporting this dev. One problem I have noticed though is that videos and gifs currently do not autoplay in the feed and when I click on a video it plays audio even though I have the setting for videos to be muted as default. Hopefully this is something the dev can look into.

Also, please give us the option to disable inbox replies to comments. I know we can turn off notifications and the inbox as a whole on the app but when I log into reddit on my PC my account is flooded with those red comment notifications saying someone has replied. Not a fan of those.

Edit: I’ve used this for about a week now and I cannot find anyway to submit feedback to the dev so I’ll do it here and hope that he sees it.
-Scrolling down from home to search brings up the keyboard so you can start typing straight away, but when you select search from the floating bar at the bottom it doesn’t. So you have to select the search bar before you start typing.
-when I search for a subreddit in the communities tab of search and I select it, the app will often just hard crash.
-The app can sometimes hang randomly. Like I’ll go to a sub and try to scroll down but the feed doesn’t move. It’s not till I go to another page like my profile then back to home does it allow me to start scrolling.
-having a way to have the app automatically open when you open reddit in Safari would be fantastic

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2026-07-07*

I’ve been using this app as a replacement for Narwhal.. which I’ve used forever.. and have been very impressed. The few bugs I’ve encountered have been fixed with quick app updates… so it’s actively being developed. If you’re looking for a replacement for the awful Reddit app, take this one out for a spin. It’s free and runs on donations.

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2026-07-02*

Everything is working well, lots of customisation possibilities. Best Reddit app I’ve used so far!

### 5/5 — Great alternative to the default app!

*2026-06-28*

It’s come a long way and ready to be your new Reddit client.

### 5/5 — Beautiful Reddit Viewer

*2026-04-20*

You can see a lot of effort has gone into designing the app. It keeps to Apple’s new UI standards while having its own flair. It’s a little slower at loading compared to Artemis and it needs some changeable app icons but otherwise it’s a great app

### 5/5 — My favorite Reddit client so far

*2026-03-20*

Just love how fluid the app is, it’s fits in so well with iOS 26. It’s day and night compared to the native Reddit app that is 90% of the time not working.

### 5/5 — Makes Reddit better for free

*2026-03-16*

I wasn’t expecting this quality or breadth of features from a free app. Feels as good as Apollo back in the day. Maybe better idk i can’t remember
