## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8 — 2026-08-28

Switching your languages in Settings works more reliably now. When you change "I speak" or "I learn", the app checks whether your vocabulary for that language pair is ready and syncs it if needed — so you shouldn't see empty cards or "No text" anymore.

Already synced pairs load right away without downloading everything again.

We also made syncing smoother behind the scenes, with fewer duplicate reloads when you change languages.

As always, thank you for learning with LangOMat!

### 1.7 — 2026-08-23

Premium access is now reliable
Some subscribers could unexpectedly lose access to their Premium content — for example after restarting the app, when the App Store was briefly unreachable, or after an unrelated older purchase had been refunded. Your subscription is now recognised correctly in all of these situations, and valid access is never switched off by mistake.

A much faster start
Until now the app re-downloaded the complete vocabulary list every single time you opened it, even when nothing had changed. It now runs a quick check first and only downloads content when there is genuinely something new. Together with a fix for a freeze that could happen while the app was starting up, LangOMat opens noticeably faster and uses far less mobile data.

A clearer subscription screen
• Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use can now be opened directly from the app.
• "Restore Purchases" is now available on the subscription screen itself, not only in Settings.
• If the subscription options cannot be loaded, you now see a clear message and a "Try again" button instead of a loading spinner that never finished.

The online indicator is now correct
Without Premium, the connection indicator always showed "online" — even in airplane mode. It now reflects your actual connection at all times.

Favourites behave as expected
Once you reached the maximum number of saved favourites, the app removed a random one. It now removes the oldest, exactly as intended. Saving the same word twice no longer uses up two slots.

Improved pronunciation
Automatic pronunciation now reads your own language first and then the language you are learning, so you can pick up the connection between the two without looking at the screen. It follows the card timer reliably and stops immediately when you switch cards or turn the feature off.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-01

Improvement: Premium status is now recognized more reliably. In rare cases, an active subscription was incorrectly shown as expired – this has been fixed. Restoring purchases also works more reliably now.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-22

The app has received a significant visual and functional overhaul.

New look for level selection Choosing between Level A, B, and C now feels much more polished. Each level is displayed as a full-width card with a color gradient, a clear icon, and the number of available vocabulary entries — making it easier to pick your level at a glance.

Redesigned vocabulary card The main flashcard has been completely refreshed with a modern glass effect. Text is larger and bolder, making it easier to read the vocabulary even at a quick glance. The source language word appears clearly above the translation, and long words or sentences now always wrap cleanly between words — never cutting a word in half.

Smarter layout on all devices The control bar at the bottom of the screen now stays properly anchored regardless of your device size or screen orientation. Whether you're using a small iPhone or a large iPad in landscape mode, the layout always looks right.

More reliable pronunciation The automatic text-to-speech feature has been rebuilt from the ground up. It now starts up faster, handles interruptions better — for example after a phone call or switching briefly to another app — and speaks consistently without randomly going silent. Tapping a word to hear it pronounce is unchanged and works as before.

Cleaner settings The haptic feedback toggle has been removed. It had no effect on most devices and was causing confusion, so it is gone.

### 1.4 — 2026-04-28

• Restoring your Premium purchase is now significantly more reliable, especially after reinstalling the app or switching devices.
• Clearer messages when the App Store is temporarily unavailable — your Premium status stays intact during connection issues.
• Brand-new flashcard design with a modern glassmorphism look, refined typography, and a smoother flip animation.
• Redesigned level selection screen with elegant gradient cards and improved spacing.
• Bottom toolbar now sits perfectly on every iPhone and iPad.
