I use mcgrawhill workbooks sometimes for tutoring, and recently discovered that the “read and think in French” is missing audio content that is promised in the workbook. It ended up being detrimental to my student’s learning and I needed to pivot last-minute in order for them to get the work done w the proper experience. Hopefully Mcgrawhill sees this and does something to remedy this issue. ### 4/5 — Older version isn’t available for your device *2026-03-04* I wish that language lab work on older versions. Otherwise good ### 2/5 — Missing some Exercises *2025-02-04* I’ve notice that not all of the exercises are displayed in the app. ### 4/5 — Decent, little buggy *2025-01-06* Decent companion to my Spanish workbook - it's not a hassle to open, you just download the app and you're good. There are some features that are missing, such as flashcard shuffling or remembering where you last opened. My biggest issue was the audio bugging out for my cards/sentences, but otherwise this works well. ### 2/5 — Audio doesn’t work on phone *2024-03-04* I have an iphone 12 up to date and when I want to use the flashcards in Spanish, the icon for audio doesn’t work. It does on my apple computer but not on my phone. ### 2/5 — Could be better *2024-02-29* At times app doesn’t specify gender in answer, Example: a sí mismos Answer choices are: C. To themselves, to yourselves D. To themselves, to yourselves Choose D you’re wrong. Then choose C you’re right not good at all no specification in answer choices. This will confuse many people ### 3/5 — Needs work *2024-01-07* I like the library of books that is up there and I find the quizzes to be helpful in practicing the different lessons. My issue with the app is that sometimes the answer choices will not show up for some of the quizzes. If that was taken care of, I could add a star. Aside from that it’s just not the most interactive or fun app to use but it’s functional (when the quiz choices are there) ### 4/5 — Helpful…but *2023-09-28* The main issue I have so far, and I’ve only done the first lessons, is that they have a lot of questions with the same answers twice. For example on the flash cards it states “Feliz” and selection A and E are both “Happy”. I select option A, Happy, and it says it’s wrong but I select the E, Happy, and it’s right, that is annoying. ### 3/5 — The app closes unexpectedly *2023-09-01* The app is so useful, but still needs improvement. Lacking the edition I bought (yet advertise on the book cover this app). Also there’s no context for anything in the app. Feels like they just whittled down the textbook into a cheap spreadsheet to feed into what is one of the ugliest, ineffective UI’s I’ve seen in an app. 1 star for doing the absolute least effort in delivering a product. Sound also doesn’t work ### 1/5 — McGraw Hill Language Lab *2024-10-06* I downloaded this app from the Apple Store and opened to Spanish and selected the book I’m using and began surfing the app features. On one it states downloadable files with more lessons are available so I tapped to check that out. From that tap the app turned into an all white screen without any visible links, tabs, etc. … What gives McGraw Hill with your so-called Spanish Easy Reader 4th edition app addition assistance to said book? At this time this white screen app is worthless. I’m not going to get jacked up by McGraw Hills malfunctioning app, it’s not worth the time to install this app. APPLE SHOULD REMOVE THIS APP FROM THE APP STORE. Too many of these language apps have so many bells and whistles. I just want the flash cards and some easy review. I’ll do the rest. This app does just that. It’s simple. It’s barebones. And it’s what you need. This is my kind of app. I don’t need something tracking progress and all that other noise. Just the information please, and they accomplish that here. I’ve seen complaints of errors but I can’t say I’ve seen that yet for the German stuff. ### 5/5 — Underrated App !! *2022-07-27, version 20.0* This app is underrated. Really. The books need improvement but the app is good. I especially love the Flashcards. The books are great but the ebooks need to have improved formatting. Some of the text in these books is too tiny to see. It’s ridiculous. But I’m giving this app five stars for its purpose and use. I’m glad to have it. And I appreciate it very much. Thanks. I got the French Conversation Premium Second Edition for Christmas and I downloaded the recommended app. This one. And it WORKS PERFECTLY.
