### 5/5 — Excellent App!

*2014-10-09*

Used this app today! Wonderful how the naming component breaks down all the prompts, assisting statistically by # correct by prompt. That data helped the Pt and me to target written word + pic quickly! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Very Good Use for Adult Therapy!

*2014-04-13, version 1.04*

Thanks!

### 5/5 — Wonderful set of apps!

This is a wonderful set of apps for language ans communication skills with both students and adults! You can trust Tactus to make quality apps! Recommended!

### 5/5 — Love!

*2014-02-07*

Great app and totally worth the money! Lots of very relevant stimuli and easy to adapt to various levels for aphasia. Love it that I don't have to lug around several books and make tons of copies to treat my patients :)

### 5/5 — Awesome App!

*2014-02-05*

This app is a life saver! I am currently a school SLP, and I occasionally do PRN work. These 4 apps assist me with targeting the resident's goals, while still keeping my productivity at a high percentage! Plus, it keeps data for you! Can't get any easier! It targets everything! What an awesome app!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app!

*2014-02-05*

This is my "go to" for therapy. I have used this app for both adults and children. It can be adapted in so many different ways. Definitely worth getting to use in your therapy toolbox.

### 4/5 — A lot of great content but...

*2013-08-31*

I love this app for working on expressive and receptive language skills! It has a huge amount of content and definitely beats carrying around a box of photo cards. Two suggestions- first I would love to see more in the writing section...maybe spelling out a word to complete a sentence/phrase? Ex. "Salt and _ _ _ _ _ _". Secondly, I would love an option to increase text and picture size!! Working in a SNF many of my clients have visual impairments so this app is often useless for them as they can't see images/words clearly.

### 5/5 — Ischemic Stroke Rehabilitation

*2013-05-13*

Mom has an older iPad, so it wasn't like she was learning how to use the iPad when I tried the 'lite' version of this app after her very severe stroke. She simply couldn't comprehend; it was a shattering revelation.
Six weeks later, there is a dramatic and measurable difference. Her choice accuracy is improving, currently about 75%, touch accuracy with her left hand about 90% (she's right handed and paralyzed on the right). We have had a concrete measure of her progress using this app, and she is perfectly okay about exercising her brain. To her it's a game, one she can share with her friends at the rehab facility as well as the kids in the family. She is also working VERY hard to use her paralyzed hand, since she is so used to operating her iPad with her dominant hand. She's actually gotten 10-15% use back in that hand from working so hard to use this app, as well as improved dexterity with her left hand.
I highly recommend this app for the rehab potential, ease of use, and clean look.
Boredom level: zero.
Usefulness: 10 out of 10
Age of user: 86
My profession: Registered Nurse

### 5/5 — Highly recommended!

*2013-05-03*

I highly recommend the Tactus Language TherAppy apps. The quality and variety of the photo stimuli are terrific. And, being a huge proponent of the value of homework between sessions, I love that I can set up my patients' iPads to let them easily email their homework results to me.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2013-04-15, version 1.02*

I am always looking for apps for ESL adult students...this app is perfect! Thank you!

### 1/5 — No pictures?

*2024-02-03*

I paid 80 bucks for this. The program is cool. But there are ONLY like 9 pictures that are in the program. All the different drills use those same 9 pictures. What?

**Developer response:** Hi, sorry you're having problems, that definitely doesn't sound right. Is it possible you're filtering by number of syllables? If you were only looking at 5 syllable words for example, there wouldn't be many exercises. If you can email us at support@tactustherapy.com we can help you out. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Sound doesn't work

*2013-06-26*

With the latest OS2 upgrade the sound no longer works, even though I upgraded this app. Since my husband was using this therapy daily, this is a really bad thing. I used to live this app. But until the glitch is fixed so the sound works again, I can no longer recommend it.

### 3/5 — needs improvement

*2015-08-01, version 2.01*

it would be better - more helpful - if on the naming test, the words missed/known were named, instead of just the category.

### 4/5 — PeggyRyan

… I had to hear

**Developer response:** Thanks for your positive review! We hope this app is helping with your recovery.

### 4/5 — Thank you for this

*2021-07-10*

Just trying to be like are used to have a sentence. Having a stroke

**Developer response:** You're welcome! We hope this app is helping with your stroke recovery. Keep using it to do the exercises. When you've mastered them, Advanced Language Therapy will keep your rehabilitation going forward. All the best!

### 4/5 — Oops

*2020-05-28*

New to using an iPad, my son uses one for speech therapy needs. Was recommended this, I thought it was not the right one as I never watched them set it up. On the main menu I always tapped in the corner, believing it was only 1 program, but it is 4. Glad I didn’t refund it. It has the one they use, doesn’t highlight like a button of the areas to play. It wasn’t obvious to me to click on a heading. Sorry for the confusion and previous low stars.

**Developer response:** No problem, I'm glad you figured it out and the app is working for you. Thanks for editing your review to let us know. We have videos and a downloadable user guide and tips on our website that might help too: https://tactustherapy.com/app/language

All the best!

### 4/5 — Serait très bien mais...

*2017-05-18*

... plusieurs images ne correspondent pas aux mêmes mots en français. J'ai vu que l'application était ouverte et c'est très bien. Par contre, j'aimerais pouvoir modifier le mot lié à certaines images pré enregistrées. Merci !

### 4/5 — Nice, easy app to use

*2016-05-04*

My father recently had a stroke and the visiting speech therapist loaned him an iPad with this app installed. After a few months, the therapist took back the device, so we bought one and this app for him.

This is a very simple app to use, and he enjoys doing the activities, which is helping to improve his lifestyle after the stroke. You can email the results to keep track of their progress, and you can also set difficulty of the activities and the amount to complete in each session.

My only complaint is that the voice audio is sometimes not as clear to him. However, this could be due to regional accents and position of the speaker on the device.

### 4/5 — Lohnt sich

*2016-01-02*

Echt gute App für Aphasiker, endlich mal nicht nur Kinder Bildchen. Bedienung etwas schwierig für Patienten.

### 4/5 — Naming test

*2013-10-04*

Very useful app that I feel comfortable recommending. One request. Please consider replacing three pictures on the Naming Test: maid/housekeeper, skateboard, and eraser. The maid and the eraser are not easily recognizable and the skateboard is not age appropriate for most users. Thank you.

As am SLP, this is my go to app for my clients with aphasia who want to increase the intensity of their treatment. I love the amount of customization that is possible and the fact that my clients can easily send me a report on their sessions. It’s also great that there are no distracting in app purchases popping up.

### 5/5 — Language Therapy

*2020-07-01*

When my husband had a stroke, getting direct speech therapy into our little town was a rarity. He needed therapy every day! Fortunately, every Speech-Language Pathologist wanted to help, and several suggested Tactus Therapy Solutions. I bought a bundle and a stand-alone program and worked with him every day. He liked the colourful programs that I showed him on my iPad, and his competitive spirit made him compete against previous scores. He still struggles a little with speech when he’s tired, but I would say his generation of words and ideas has reached about 90% of where it was pre-stroke. We are both elated! He loves to talk, so being able to speak freely has buoyed his spirits to tackle the other limitations he faces.

**Developer response:** Your husband is so lucky to have you on his side helping him through this difficult time, and we've been grateful for the opportunity to support you in navigating our apps and resources. It's wonderful to hear about his remarkable progress from daily practice! It goes to show you what motivation, determination, support, and the right therapy tools can do. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and others, and we wish you and your husband continued success on his stroke recovery journey!

### 5/5 — Tactus

*2020-07-01*

My sister had a stroke in May. Unfortunately she lives in the UK and I live in the US. I found this app and was able to get it for her and it has been helpful for her. The customer support people were fantastic as I tried to make it available for her!

**Developer response:** We're so sorry to hear about your sister's stroke. It's wonderful that technology and apps could enable you to help her from so far away - especially during the pandemic. We were happy to assist you as navigating app purchases between countries is not straightforward. May she continue to make good progress with her ongoing recovery!

### 5/5 — A Must Have for SLPS!

*2019-12-17*

I use this 4-in-1 app DAILY. It is dynamic enough to treat all sorts of communication disorders while still being user friendly. The best part? You can CUSTOMIZE all of the activities in the app. My patients love it and so do I!

**Developer response:** We're so glad you're loving the app's flexibility, customization, and design! Thank you for the kind feedback and for using our apps to help your patients on a daily basis. Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Versatile app, not just for geriatrics!

*2019-01-17*

Currently a 2nd year grad student in my adult placement, and this app is an absolute lifesaver. I've been using this since working as an SLPA in outpt and have used this in peds as well!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2017-01-26*

This is a great app. It's intuitive and easy to use. The customized lists are really helpful when you need to tailor the exercises to the individual. It's particularly helpful for home practice.

I spoke with customer service to ask a few questions about the app. They were quick to respond and helpful; they even gave some kind words for one of my patients. It was a nice surprise to see this software company had a patient-centered mission.

### 5/5 — speech therapist

*2016-10-18*

Love this simple app for basic language. I used the lite version for a long time but I always wanted to buy all of it so that I could use it more extensively with patients with aphasia. The patients love the pictures and the speaker is great!
