Shame *2026-02-03, version 7.9.0* I’ve never had to write a review in hopes the developer will respond to a problem. Until last week app has been great, had it for years never an issue. The problem, I use it daily, I go into the app and I’ve been logged out. Nothing new, this sometimes happens after an update. I go to log in and I get an error message ‘couldn’t save security token’. Weird. I try my phone, my desktop version, all saying the same error. I uninstall, and reinstall, no luck. I check for caches etc, none to do no issues there. My internet is fine. What is going on? I paid for the app, that now no longer works. Unable to log in at all. I sent support an email and have been ignored. Hoping to hear back here. Just crazy there no way to explain if it’s their server that is having issues, fine but no explanation, no help! Losing access feels less like losing an app and more like losing dexterity. I have been unable to use Mate Translate for over five weeks. I’ve submitted three support tickets and also contacted support by email, all of which have gone unanswered. Bugs after an update are understandable, but complete silence despite multiple requests is difficult to accept. I already own lifetime purchases on both iPhone and Mac, and I still would have been willing to pay for virtually any solution, including an ongoing subscription, if it meant restoring access. I have shared information, remained open to various solutions, and waited patiently for someone to simply acknowledge the issue. Instead, I’ve gone more than a month without any communication. This is a one star review not because the product is bad, but because support is absent when it matters. I want to be able to recommend this application to others, and I would be happy to update this review once my issue is resolved and access is restored. This makes no sense! I couldn’t care if your app was good or the best there is, you can’t charge people to try it, plus I shouldn’t have to let this app have my payment information to try it. ### 1/5 — Scummy business practices *2026-07-21, version 9.1.3* Advertises itself as free, with a single line at the bottom of the wall of text that is their description denoting that as soon as you download this free app, you better pay up if you actually want to use it. Wouldn’t have minded paying a bit for convenient, accurate translations, but being about as transparent as a stained glass window guaranteed they’ll never see a penny from me. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work and Steals Your Data *2026-06-29, version 9.1.1* Garbage extension. Doesn’t work, just reads your data. Please try to sign in again. If you had a lifetime pro account, it should pick it up. ### 1/5 — Failed to work *2026-05-07, version 8.2.0* I committed to the 7 day trial, when I was in safari, it told me I wasn’t registered even though I was and it charged me again, even once charged, it still said I wasn’t registered and needed to pay again. Now it won’t let me log in and the developer does not bother to respond to emails. Excellente appli que j’utilise depuis des années maintenant, j’ai juste un petit bug à faire remonter aux développeur, j’utilise l’interface sombre d’iOS et c’est l’une des deux seules applis que je possèdes dont l’icône ne suit pas l’interface système en se maintenant en "clair" ce qui est assez peu harmonieux. Si vous pouviez corriger cela, ce serait top !
