On another note the bubble pop thing is absolutely AWFUL u cannot read anything because the bubbles are floating everywhere. Please improve this!!! Thanks ### 2/5 — not very well developed *2024-02-25* generally it’s okay, however the word pop activity is very difficult as they overlap, don’t show up, move so fast, double versions of them and more. The web version is a lot better as it gives better opportunities to learn and is overall better developed without bugs. ### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2023-03-05* My school has recently transferred from ‘thisislanguage’ to language nut. At first, I was optimistic to test the new app, however excitement grew to pure frustration quite quickly. The ‘bubble word search thing’ was far by my worst nightmare and will be yours very soon. Words do not appear on the screen for minutes at a time, but as soon as you see the glimmer of hope, it either disappears or another word overlaps it, resulting you getting the wrong answer. The supposed ‘exceedingly entertaining’ fridge magnet activity ‘did my head in too’; you have to one by one select each word to a following level, but if a mistake is made, you will need to change all of the above words and reselect them. Never have I encountered such a inefficient and ineffective educational app in my life (I suppose I never will). Exploring this app is like scavenging through a mine field, but the only difference is that scavenging a mine field thrives your mindset to survive and live. To anyone reading this, do not download this app; it wastes your storage and will give you a migraine. If my school assignments were not set here, I would have already spammed the uninstall button till the last atom of my energy. ### 1/5 — It never worked *2023-01-31, version 14* I hate this app it never works and I can not do anything with it but not log in.I prefer doulingo. ### 1/5 — SO BAD! *2023-01-26* The app glitches so bad! The screen goes black sometimes but when you touch it, it’s plays the audio? Huh? Once my teacher used it in class and the text glitched, so when they went on the quiz the text for the practice glitched onto the quiz. It is also doesn’t alternatives to the sentences but (e.g bad= horrible= terrible) it’s just one word, and if you put a word with the same definition with and meaning it immediately puts it as wrong. Idk if it’s just me but it’s also makes the work really hard. Like it’s says ” when Is the person A going to go to the beach?” But I have to listen to the whole audio of person A, B and C This app needs to be better. ### 1/5 — Awful *2022-09-25* This is just awful it says things that are correct are incorrect if you open another tab it resets your progress and it crashes all the time it’s just terrible use something else and if your teacher makes you use this like mine I’m sorry ### 2/5 — Use the web version *2022-03-16* You can tell that the web version is far more developed, and it gives you opportunity to practice and learn the vocabulary before attempting the assignment. It’s unfortunate that the app version glitches out a lot (sometimes there’s no sound for the listening tasks) and that the app itself is ‘clunky’ — it could do with some renovation and testing. As a student who is set assignments in here, I must say that no consideration has been made towards people that use it. The speaking questions are extremely inaccurate and count questions as wrong when you say the right answer. The listening questions don't even play. I honestly wish I never existed with the existence of this app ### 1/5 — Many Bugs *2025-01-05* I had to get this app to do homework but it’s absolutely filled with bugs, if I close the app overnight it says I don’t have any homework until I log out and back in again and whenever I complete a task the screen starts flashing black and white, thankfully I’ve never suffered from photosensitive epilepsy but I imagine that people who do could be really effected by it ### 1/5 — I AM GOING TO KILL MYSELF. *2024-11-04* I HATE THIS APP. FIRST OFF, you can’t even use the app so you need to use the webpage which is just as glitchy and there’s so many typos I want to kill myself when I see this app in my mind or on my class charts… and half the time this stupid app doesn’t even work. And my disgusting, slimy fat French teacher expects us to do it and when we don’t do it and we and we email her like 50 times about this about this error she DOES NOT CARE. ROT IN A HOLE LANUAGAGE NUT. ### 1/5 — Very very bad *2024-10-06* This app is so unprofessional, there are tons of typos in the translations, everything is very slow and very glitchy. On the writing ones, it it so difficult to type and it picks up all typos (eg like one accent) the voices are sometimes really unclear and quiet as well. I hate doing homework for this! I found Language Nut to be a frustrating experience. The interface is clunky, the lessons lack depth, and the overall user experience leaves much to be desired. Definitely not worth the investment ### 1/5 — Worst educational app *2023-11-11* When I was in school my teacher told me to download Languagenut I wasn’t very optimistic because I could hear my brothers cries of agony. This is the worst educational experience I have ever experienced in my life. This app is so frustrating, inefficient and excruciating. One of the activities you can do in this app is the voice-detecting ai is terrible just of the fact that when you say the word as perfect as possible it says you are wrong but if you think you said it incorrectly it says you are right. What a absolute disgrace! This app needs development desperately Duolingo is better. I recommend downloading Duolingo. Only psychopaths and lunatics and people with serious problems will enjoy this app. ### 1/5 — The laurus trust is horrible *2023-09-22* The capitalist money hungry laurus trust are milking the government me and my school of the money they can get. The app is a bit not developed as much as the web! People can’t Practice which people might get low marks! If you added practice it wouldn’t be more stressful for people! Some suggestions: Add something where if you get it wrong it will show the real answer! And make it more less laggy. Also! There is a massive bug you need to fix! The word pop. If people have auto clicker, they can get up to 50 marks! Not 10 or 8. Some errors on Word pod. For some reason, some of my answers were wrong when they were right. I don’t know why!
