We've been working on an exciting project for the almost past year and I'm thrilled to share it with you all. We've created a free and 100% Open Source Alternative to Tandem app called LangX, which functions similarly to Tandem but with a focus on more language practice and community-driven, free and open sourced! We are open for every contributions which is even a single line or image, we will be super happy about it.

I have been looking for a community where I can learn Mandarin Chinese! I do better when communicating directly with someone and this app provides exactly that!! I find it hard to befriend others online with the same interest! If you are interested in having a study partner in a language that you want to learn, this is definitely the app for you!

There are many different apps when it comes to language learning, with some of the most notable being Duolingo and Babbel. However, learning a language is not just about memorizing words; it’s about being able to put them together. Your first thought might be Tandem, but I have a better suggestion: LangX!

LangX is not only completely free, but it also offers numerous features that make it far superior to Tandem. It's open-sourced, allowing you to contribute to its development and steer the app in the direction you want. I love diving into the code and seeing how I can make improvements or suggest new features. It includes an AI, affectionately called “Copilot,” that assists you when messaging others. I use Copilot to help me construct sentences and ensure my grammar is correct, making conversations smoother and more enjoyable. Plus, with the “Learn to Earn” feature, you can literally earn tokens by learning! I’ve been racking up tokens every day, which keeps me motivated and engaged.

I'm thoroughly enjoying everything about LangX and use it daily. With all these features and more, I truly believe LangX is the best language learning app out there. Give it a shot, and I’m sure you’ll agree!
