## What is Lapel Notes?

Every voice. Under your control.

LAPEL records the conversations that matter and turns them into notes you can
stand behind — privately, on your iPhone.

RECORD AND TRANSCRIBE ON DEVICE
Record or import audio. Speech models built into the app transcribe it on your
iPhone and separate the voices. Name each speaker once and every note follows.

NOTES, ALREADY IN ORDER
Apple Intelligence writes a high-level summary and detailed notes: decisions, actions
and open questions. Choose a format such as client consultation, interview, 1:1,
discovery call or lecture, or build your own.

ASK, WITH SOURCES
Ask a question of one conversation or your whole library. Answers link to the exact
passage, so you can read or hear the original words.

CONSENT AND RECORDS
Mark consent with one tap; the time is kept with the recording and in every export.
Export audio, transcripts, subtitles, notes or a source-linked PDF that includes the
audio’s fingerprint.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No analytics. Notes, transcripts and answers are encrypted with a key
that stays on this iPhone. Choose how long recordings are kept, and create
encrypted backups with your own recovery key.

YOUR OWN MODEL, IF YOU PREFER
Connect Lapel to an Ollama computer you control. Audio stays on your iPhone;
transcript text goes only to the computer you choose.

Summaries and answers need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with
Apple Intelligence turned on. Recording and transcription work on any supported
iPhone. Generated notes can contain mistakes; check important details against the
source.
