It’s one of the best ways I’ve found to get meaningful practice in at home without burning through ammo, and the app runs smoothly with plenty of great features. The only drawback is the pricing model. To really unlock the system you have to pay a monthly fee for the Pro version, and it’s noticeably higher than what most apps charge. It would be nice if more came included with the base purchase instead of needing an ongoing subscription. Overall, though, LaserHIT delivers a great training experience. If you don’t mind the recurring cost, it’s hard to beat. ### 3/5 — Laser program *2024-08-18, version 4.4.2* The program works very well. As a new user so far I’m enjoying it, but I wish the app would retain history versus a screenshot. I just obtained the larger HD targets sold by laser hit and paid for the 2 extra modes. Will be using it more as time goes one. If the save/history feature was better I’d give it a 5. ### 4/5 — Great if it saved your stats *2021-01-02* The app would easily get 5 Stars if it actually saved your stats (within the app). Sure you save them to your photos, but that’s lame. I would love to see how my shooting has improved over time which is beyond cumbersome and silly if you were actually trying to do the same thing digging through your photos on your phone. As a shooter I’d love to see my average scores over time day/day, week/week, year/year for each of the 4 practice tools so that I can see improvements. As a shooter, I would love to see a dry fire log of how many shots per day, week, month, year so I can see if I’m beginning to slack. Great fun and practice but that was robbery. ### 4/5 — 4.5 star🌟 *2020-10-19, version 2.6.2* Overall the app at first seemed to be a bit confusing. However, I realized pretty soon that I was the issue and not the app. I’ve only used this app for one day, however, I am very pleased with it thus far. I will say that once I had figured out how to run the app, I am able to zoom around it with ease. The app will use your camera to look for “red” on and around your target. So you will have to adjust your lighting in your room. Once I had that figured out as well it became a breeze to use. I did not purchase the laser hit “ laser bullet” because they did not have it in 9mm on their website. However, I found on Amazon the Pink Rhino “laser bullet” in 9mm, and I’ve been using it. Works phenomenal with the app and it’s half the price. That said, back to the app. The lighting in your room can cause the app to “double count rounds” so if the camera picks up a red light or light ray on the target it can count two shots on the target even if you only fired once. I put 502 shots onto the app yesterday which was my first day, and maybe it double counted shots like 10 times or so. Sooo 95%ish accuracy as far as I’m concerned. I absolutely love the app and it’s ease of use, I just wish their product was a bit less expensive. ### 2/5 — It could be great, but it’s not *2020-10-01, version 2.6.2* It is tedious to set this system up. There is not a single place in my home where the lighting is good enough for this software. When it works it’s great, but 90% of the time it takes so long to set up, I quit. I have other things to do and have set aside time to dry fire. I end up spending that time trying to set it up. The app no longer allows me to use my own target. Which I had always done. Now it gets hung up I’m trying to find the reload mark which my own target doesn’t have. Keeps trying to find the reload mark and won’t load the range. Can’t use the app anymore please fix ### 1/5 — Need to roll back to previous version *2022-05-16, version 3.4.1* Latest version with audio setup instructions and new “Target confirmation” is junk. What worked perfectly in the previous version now doesn’t work at all. I was hoping to use this older iPad as a dedicated training tool with this app. It works on my iPhone 11 pro but does hang up or closes from time to time. The associated hardware is fine, if essentially cheap laser snap caps. The app itself is pathetic. The UI and UX are horrible, the app crashes randomly, the mechanism to “save” your session score cards is laughable at best, but worst of all the setup for each “mode” is tedious and error prone. Hire engineers with computer vision experience, it will go a long way. On the “business” side, they couldn’t even handle shipping the correct target sizes. ### 1/5 — This app is junk! It can be a little tricky getting phone set up depending upon lighting and background, but once it’s set up it worked perfectly every time. ### 5/5 — Highly Recommended! *2023-08-24* This is an incredible training tool. I’ve made several videos recommending the use of this app in conjunction with a training laser or training pistol. You won’t beat live ammo but you can work on your draw, target acquisition and trigger press through your first shot. I mirror my phone screen to my big living room TV and shoot at a scaled down IPSC target and it is a BLAST! Thank you for making this free. ### 5/5 — What a steal *2023-03-20* I came across this at a gun show. Bought the $140 package. And I can’t be more happy with my purchase. While lighting can be an issue, this has saved a ton of money on ammo. Turn off your near by lights during the day, it works off light. Lasers are light. My wife feels infinitely more comfortable with our in house handgun. Both of us are shooting way better than before. The dry fire practice is awesome and it’s already paid for itself just in ammo, not to mention that it shows where you’re hitting in real time. What a product. Best bang for the buck that I’ve put into shooting, by far. Der Screenshot ist bei mehreren Zielen sehr unübersichtlich. ### 5/5 — Fantastic when paired with Coolfire trainer *2020-08-11* I recently purchased a Coolfire trainer for my daily carry S&W Shield and downloaded the LaserHIT app to track my time and hits on target. The app is fantastic and pairs very well with the Coolfire trainer with red laser. This setup allows me to train in my home, with my pistol using my sights and trigger, get realistic recoil, and practice techniques that would not be possible at a range such as drawing from a holster, double taps, rapid fire and reload drills. I went ahead and purchased the add-on packages and I’m glad I did. I really like how the app allows customization to set up a dry fire drill specific to my needs. LaserHIT tracks the red laser strikes perfectly and you can even save your session results to analyze later. You can specify the max hits registered, time limits, buzzer time for starting. This is going to make me a better shooter and I look forward to any new addition-one from LaserHIT. I don’t go to the range as often as I should but I thing this app will be an excellent supplement. ### 5/5 — Love this App *2020-07-25, version 2.6.2* I recently started dry-fire training and I tried two different apps to record my practice.
